Setting good screens, battling for rebounds, hustling for plays and finding ways to make an impact on offense within the flow of the team’s offense.
Big Shots Winston Salem 2022 Guard Camian Shell Camian Shell 5'10" | PG Winston-Salem Christian | 2022 State NC is a quick guard that understands how to use his speed to get to his spots. Throughout the event he made some big time plays, including some big shots in the championship game. D1 programs are already showing a nice amount of interest that should only grow as he continues to play at a high level.
Flash Elite 2022 Guard Cedavion Wimbley Cedavion Wimbley 6'0" | CG South View | 2022 NC got off to a slower start but really turned it up in the Semi-Finals round, going for 19 Points, knocking down numerous treys and bringing a nice amount of intensity. He plays the game with a confidence that you have to love, he’s not afraid of any challenge or matchup that he might see and he plays the game with an overall toughness game in and game out.
BNC Elite 2021 Guard Gregory Brent was a bright spot for his team even though they struggled throughout the weekend, losing both of their matchups on Saturday against some solid teams. In their first game of the event he scored 20 out of 43 of the teams points, finding different ways to score the ball from inside the paint and outside on the perimeter.
Garner Road Select 2022 Guard Nigel Okwakol Nigel Okwakol 6'5" | CG Quality Education Academy | 2023 State NC showcased his quickness and craftiness throughout the event, blowing by defenders on a regular basis which led to a very productive weekend for him overall. At about 6’5 with nice athleticism and a natural feel for the game, Nigel is the type of prospect that catches your attention early on and he’s a player that is slowly but surely playing his way up the rankings.
Nova United 2022 Guard Abubakarr Jalloh found ways to get into the paint and make plays for his team, and his production only got better as the games went on over the weekend. He uses his upper body strength to play through all types of contact and is what we would call a ”slasher” type of wing, attacking the paint instead of settling for the outside shot on most occasions.
