Here is a look at some stock-risers in the 2022 class.
AJ Brown AJ Brown 6'4" | CG Orlando Christian Prep | 2022 State #190 Nation FL – 6-4 – CG – Orlando Christian Prep
One of the most popular prospects as of late, Brown has earned offers from Iona, Temple, Buffalo, Yale, Georgia State and Penn State just this month. As smooth of a shooter that you can find, he is a no non-sense guard who does all the little things you want from a versatile athlete. He’s quick, determined, smart and smooth as a shooter and passer. Fresh off of a Class 2A state title in early March, Brown is already excelling this spring at a high level for E1T1 United. Plenty more offers will come for him.
Jeremy Foumena Jeremy Foumena 6'10" | PF Central Pointe Christian | 2022 FL – 6-10 – F – Central Pointe Christian
Coming down from Canada, Foumena was an instant impact player at SIAA program Central Pointe Christian this past season. He came a long way from early in the season to later in the year where he looked quicker and more confident offensively. He is a gifted shot blocker and a core rebounder. I expect the strong and physical big man to have a steady summer for Southeast Elite and pick up offers from programs that covet his size and skillset. It truly shocks me that he doesn’t have an offer yet, the kid is a true athletic big man.
Jamar Franklin Jamar Franklin 6'1" | CG Speights Academy | 2022 State #246 Nation FL – 6-1 – G – Rockledge
Stetson, Radford, New Orleans and North Alabama have all offered Franklin over the last month since he has implemented himself as the go-to guy for Team Speights. The gifted and shifty guard has been doing his thing for the past two seasons at Rockledge on the Space Coast, but he is finally getting the looks he deserves from college programs playing travel ball for Team Speights. He is a keen attacker and a true asset as a floor stretcher and shooter. More offers are likely coming.
Jayden Williams Jayden Williams 6'6" | SG Windermere Prep | 2022 State FL – 6-5 – G – Windermere Prep
Any college program looking for a long athletic guard, then watch the game of Williams. He can play the wing as well and he’s able to dominate the paint with his quick takes to the basket and ability to finish around the rim with dunks and lay-ins. He’s a locked-in deep ball shooter and a player who took huge strides over the last year of time. Expect Williams to shine all summer for 1Family Hoops.
Caleb Young Caleb Young 6'5" | SG Pensacola | 2022 State FL – 6-4 – G – Pensacola
Young has a crafty handle, smart passing and a true desire to push the floor with tempo and purpose. He fits the bill for a well-put-together Judah Nation squad that loves to thrive with quick movement and athletic takes. Young is one of the most athletic players in the 2022 class and he is a locked-in defender. He plays with his own pace and can change it up on every possession. The Pensacola native is going to have a big summer.
Elijah Mahi Elijah Mahi 6'6" | SG Potter's House Christian | 2022 State FL – 6-6 – G – Potter’s House Christian
The size and speed combination is there for Mahi. He is a confident player with a versatile skill set. He can cover most positions on the floor with his length and he can attack the rim with his long strides. Moving in from Canada, the Potter’s House Christian guard is a very good driver and a deceivingly accurate shooter. The sky is the limit for the 1Family Hoops guard as he holds an offer from Bryant currently.
Matthew Webster Matthew Webster 6'8" | PF Bishop Mclaughlin | 2022 State FL – 6-8 – F – Bishop McLaughlin
Transferring from Pasco to Bishop McLaughlin did wonders for Webster, the main guy at his previous stop. He matured as a shooter and really thrive in his role for the Class 3A state runner-up. He can go inside and attack but his ability to stretch the floor from the mid-range or from downtown is highly impressive for a player his size. Webster plays hard and doesn’t take plays off. Division II Fairmont State offered in March. He is already having a solid summer with GameSpeed Elite
