In my next installment of “The Starting Five” its time to take a look at the top left-handed standouts from the Class of 2022.

Point Guard- [player_tooltip player_id="985424" first="Colin" last="Ruffin"] 6’2 Nixa: A nice lengthy point guard with smooth handles and the ability to blow by defenders without looking like he is moving as fast. He drops dimes with his court vision and his shooting range extends well beyond the 3-point line. Division I programs have taken notice.

Wing- [player_tooltip player_id="984508" first="Braden" last="Appelhans"] 6’6 Blue Springs: The talented shooting guard has attracted interest from several mid to high major Division I programs. And for good reason. He has excellent size and length, a beautiful stroke from 3-point range and three level scoring ability. He is very good and getting his work done to prepare for his quick release.
Wing- [player_tooltip player_id="991575" first="Aahmod" last="Scarbrough"] 6’3 St Louis Christian: A strong, athletic performer who plays with a tremendous amount of energy. He is strong when attacking the basket and in the transition game. He can also get it going from 3-point range in stretches. He has already received a couple of Division I offers.

Wing- [player_tooltip player_id="984945" first="Andrew" last="Dalton"] 6’2 Ava: A solidly built baller who averaged 25 points in leading the Bears to a Class 3 state quarterfinals berth. He is strong enough to score in the paint on physical drives and short jumpers. He also has a nice stroke from 3-point range to go along with very good passing ability.

Forward- [player_tooltip player_id="984943" first="Kortez" last="Stevenson"] 6’6 Center: A thick bodied post player who can get it done inside with power and finesse. He has excellent footwork, shifty moves and a nice shooting touch. He will also step outside and knock down a perimeter jumper.
