Sunday's action at the MADE Hoops Northeast Scholastic Preview at Shoot Hoops KOP featured several guards ready to step into larger roles this season. The New England native is clearly wired to score. He moves well without the ball and knocked down several deep threes across his two games Sunday. The sophomore guard will repeat his second high school season after transferring from Catholic in Rhode Island, giving him additional time to develop an already impressive offensive skill set.

An athletic guard capable of carrying the scoring load or creating easy baskets for his teammates, Salisbury played a major role as his team erased most of a double-digit halftime deficit and made it a one-possession game in the final two minutes. He converted a layup to pull his team within one before assisting on the go-ahead basket. Salisbury was effective getting to the rim throughout the game, but it was his vision and ability to consistently find the open man that stood out most in the second half.

Howard led Springside Chestnut Hill in scoring during both of its Sunday wins, averaging 15 points per game in the process. At 6-foot-3, Farlow has good positional size and uses his long wingspan to effectively defend anywhere along the perimeter.

If anything has become clear through the first month of fall showcase play, it is that the CATS Academy offense will run through its newest FDU commit. He routinely found shooters after getting downhill and also converted in the lane using an assortment of floaters.

With freshman big man Russell Eddy sidelined by injury, Francis spent much of Sunday operating as Bonner's de facto four man. The big and talented guard used his body effectively on the glass and was at his best offensively when attacking the rim. His ability to change speeds and levels is extremely advanced, allowing him to slither through traffic and finish consistently. Rutgers has made it a priority to secure high school commitments in the 2027 class and was wise to lock up the reigning PCL MVP.

The sophomore point guard will be asked to grow up quickly this season as he moves from a complementary role and occasional starter to Father Judge's primary option at the point. Copeland possesses good size, impressive vision and the ability to become an offensive threat himself when needed. Father Judge has enough talent to contend in the PCL and beyond, but Copeland's development and ability to lead the offense will play a significant part in determining the team's ceiling.
