3Stripes League (10/4) – Top Performers

Prep Hoops Indiana had boots on the ground coverage again on Sunday for the final weekend of the annual 3Stripes League. We had the opportunity to watch a handful of games at Fishers High School including the championship matchup. Here are some of the individual standouts from what we saw on Sunday.

It feels like no matter the setting you can pencil in Foster as a top performer these days. That comes with the territory as one of the top prospects in the Class of 2028, but he is also simply continuing to play at a very high level. The 6'5" wing from Scecina Memorial is so tough to stop when attacking the basket off of the dribble. He handles the ball well, is incredibly strong, and finishes with both hands consistently at the end of his drives. Foster continues to prove himself as one of the top defenders in the state as well. Division I programs should be pulling the trigger to offer this two-way wing.

One of the most impressive players in the gym on Sunday was this 6'9" stretch 4-man from Pike High School. Garner has been excellent all summer long since returning to Indiana and his skills were displayed at a high level on Sunday. His combination of size and elite shooting ability alone make him a very intriguing prospect. Then, you add in some of what he can do off of the dribble and how he defensive rebounds and you get a legitimate Division I prospect. His recruitment should continue to take shape heading into the high school season.

Another one of the top Class of 2028 prospects that participated in the 3Stripes League, Kiteka was excellent on the glass and finished several offensive rebound putbacks for his team. His overall development offensively continues to be impressive. The 6'9" center makes real post moves, is a willing passer out of the post, and has a smooth turnaround jump shot that is impossible to guard.

We were really impressed with Reed all summer long and he was one of our top stock-risers heading into this fall. He is a versatile, strong, and athletic wing/forward that has been highly productive in a variety of settings. The left-handed driver is really hard to stop in transition and anytime he can get downhill to the rim. Look for him to have a big junior season at Ben Davis High School. He was excellent on Sunday in both games that we watched of his at the 3Stripes League.

The Most Valuable Player of the 3Stripes League Championship Sunday would have to go to [player_tooltip player_id='2140420' first='Nash' last='Sigmund']. A recent Marian University commit, Sigmund scored 29 points in his first game on Sunday and then backed it up by putting up 31 points in an overtime win in the Championship game. He is an outstanding catch-and-shoot threat, but did a great job of scoring at the end of drives and cuts to the rim on Sunday as well.

When surrounded by shooters, like he was on this 3Stripes League team, it is seemingly impossible to stop Washington. He is so quick and explosive as a driver and can really push the tempo end-to-end with the ball in his hands. Washington gets paint touches as easily as any guard in the state which puts a lot of pressure on the defense. If you don't help he is likely to get all of the way to the rim to finish, but if you do collapse to stop his drives he can hit the shooters that surround him on the perimeter. The senior guard from Brownsburg High School was a big reason why his team won the championship on Sunday.

It comes as no surprise that Zachary was a top performer on Sunday. He led his team to the 3Stripes League championship game, but came up just short in overtime despite pouring in 27 points. The Florida Gulf Coast commit is such an outstanding shooter and overall playmaker with the ball in his hands. It will be fun to watch his push for Indiana Mr. Basketball throughout his senior season at Fishers High School.
