Prep Hoops MN Expo - Kevin's Standouts

The 2026 Prep Hoops Expo (MN) was full of talent! Here are my standout players from 3v3 and 5v5 action!    [player_tooltip player_id='2560499' first='Kevin' last='Wilson Jr.'] is ranked No. 1 in his class for a reason! Kevin was doing virtually whatever he wanted on the court in both 3v3 and 5v5 play. His shooting ability is off the charts. He is confident and aggressive when hunting his shot and is a threat as soon as he crosses half court. It is evident that Kevin has put in countless hours working on his game and shooting. The way he executes offensively almost makes it look effortless. But Kevin is much more than just a scorer. He has the perfect combination of speed, ball-handling ability, and court vision to make him the high-value prospect that he is.     [player_tooltip player_id='2392217' first='David' last='Addai'] had a dominant afternoon during yesterday's Prep Hoops Expo. At 6'7” with a strong build, his size speaks for itself, and he uses it to dominate the paint. However, what really stood out to me was David's agility, hand-eye coordination, and dribbling ability. David can put the ball on the floor and get where he wants to go in both half-court offense and transition. He had a very impressive play in 5v5 action, securing a defensive rebound and taking the ball coast to coast before attacking the lane and finishing with a monster one-handed dunk! That play perfectly summarized the type of ability David possesses, and I expect that talent to be on full display at Johnson High School as David steps into a bigger role this year!     [player_tooltip player_id='2556742' first='Charlie' last='Howe'] is another dead-eye shooter who made a strong impression at the Expo! Yes, he is lethal in catch-and-shoot situations, but he also has the ability to create his own shot off the dribble. At 6'5”, Charlie can elevate over the defense with ease to get clean looks at the rim, which he converts at a high rate. On top of his strong play, Charlie was also an active and vocal teammate, encouraging his teammates and communicating on defense. Charlie showed a lot of potential to develop into a great player down the road.     [player_tooltip player_id='2835388' first='Kenny' last='Brown'] played well in both 3v3 and 5v5 action this weekend. Specifically, in 3v3, Kenny showed his ability to put the ball on the floor. The 6'8” forward consistently caught the ball on the perimeter and drove all the way to the basket through contact for finishes. Kenny puts pressure on the defense by forcing opposing bigs to move their feet and attacking smaller defenders by going up and over them. He also used great footwork to execute spin moves that lost his defenders and resulted in easy baskets at the rim. Look for Kenny to have a breakout season this year for St. Paul Highland Park!     Tyrece was an offensive juggernaut in both 3v3 and 5v5 action on Saturday afternoon. He has a complete offensive game, as he can put the ball on the floor and create for himself while also shooting the lights out. I was especially impressed by Tyrece's ability to shoot off the dribble. He consistently created separation with his dribble moves and turned that space into made jump shots. His ability to create his own shot and knock down jumpers makes him a difficult matchup for opposing defenses.
