Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp - Top Performers, Part Two

There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys & Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more. Here are some of the top prospects who stood out during the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.   ***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. If your team's evaluation article gets posted and you were NOT included please connect with Brandon Ramsey on Twitter or via email at coachbrandonramsey@gmail.com and he will take care of the mistake.***   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    We immediately got on board the [player_tooltip player_id='2409538' first='Liam' last='Bazin'] bandwagon after seeing him play with Progeny 15u at UAA Session II during the May live evaluation period. The 6'2" left-handed guard is incredibly skilled as a perimeter shooter and as a driver. He can create his own looks, make plays for his teammates, and does it all with great pace, poise, and an impressive pop of athleticism. However, it is his motor that really draws you in even beyond how skilled his is. Bazin plays extremely hard at all times and it truly lifts his game to another level. We expect to see a breakout sophomore season at Crown Point High School from him.     This 6'5" forward from Bloomington North has been high on our board for a while now. His versatility always stands out to us while the athletic and physical tools that he possess are obvious. Bridgwaters is an excellent scorer from the mid-range and in especially. He is a crafty driver from the elbows, high post, and short corners. He can face-up and make jump shots from those spots as well. The length comes in handy when he is finishing closer in around the rim as well. We are definitely believers in his two-way upside and will look forward to continuing to monitor his development. He played very well in both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 play at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.     We recently saw Brown play at a college elite camp and his improvement just from having seen him in the summer really caught our attention. Brown once again impressed us at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday. The 6'7" center is a clear stock-riser in the Class of 2029. Not only does he check the boxes in terms of size, interior strength, and rebounding ability, but he can also stretch the floor as a catch-and-shoot threat. He looks comfortable shooting open three-point shots. Look for him to have a breakout sophomore season at Lake Central High School. We are big believers in Brown's upside.     Hampton played with an impressive level of aggressiveness on Sunday that led to some of his best play that we have seen in a while. The 6'6" forward has such great versatile and fluid athleticism which is impressive considering his young age. He was able to play a role as a freshman at Evansville Bosse High School and should be ready to step into a larger role this season. Hampton shot the ball well from the perimeter at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. His ability to stretch the floor while also being a threat to drive it makes him a tough matchup for opposing defenses. It is clear why he will remain a Top 25 prospect in the Class of 2029 moving forward.     There are a ton of players that come across our radar here at Prep Hoops Indiana. We are in basketball gyms multiple times a week essentially all year long. With that being said, Ruffin is one of the most explosive athletes we have come across. The 5'10" guard from Gary 21st Century was an absolute dunking machine at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. Whether he was attacking the rim in the half court or running the floor in transition he was rising up and flushing everything. There is more to Ruffin's game than dunking, but that explosive athleticism certainly caught our attention on Sunday.     One of the top Class of 2029 stock-risers from this summer, especially the late summer, has been this 6'5" wing/forward from Fishers High School. Stoddard is a very fluid athlete, handles the ball well enough to attack from the perimeter, and showcases a very well-rounded skill set. At the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp he had a lot of success attacking closeouts or running the floor in transition where he could utilize his athleticism and positional size. We expect him to continue proving himself as a real prospect in Indiana's Class of 2029 and he will be one to follow in the coming years at Fishers High School.     There is a reason why Wilson immediately caught our attention last year at the Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and earned himself a Top 10 ranking in the Class of 2029. His upside, especially on the defensive end of the floor, is as high as anyone's in the class. Wilson is a long, super athletic, 6'7" forward/center that runs the floor very well and can guard any position on a given possession. He is a left-handed finisher inside that has flashed some ability to stretch the floor when left open as well. Look for him to have a breakout sophomore season at Tindley High School.
