New England Commitment Catch-Up (09/19)

The 6'5" guard is a plus athlete that has some shot creation ability with the ball in his hands. He does a nice job of using his length to score around the rim and is also able to get into his mid-range game off the bounce. He does a nice job of getting out and scoring in transition and adds some secondary playmaking in the half-court. Defensively, he can guard up and down a position and has the ability to make an impact on the glass. A 6'4" guard with a strong frame, he's done a nice job of rounding out his offensive game over the last year. He's able to create in isolations, shows a good feel for the game as a passer, and has the ability to score it at all three levels. On the other end of the floor, he does a nice job of making an impact on the glass and is capable of guarding on the perimeter and in the paint. A 6'8" forward, Hoffman burst onto the scene in New England during this summer's <em>NEPSAC Showcases</em>. The high motor forward gives incredible effort on both ends of the floor, is a talented two-way rebounder, and has some offensive versatility too. He's capable of knocking down catch and shoot threes, attacks the rim off straight line drives, and is able to finish with athleticism and power around the basket. Defensively, he moves his feet well enough to defend on the perimeter and plays physically in the paint. A 6'0" guard, Wiggins had a terrific junior season and followed it up by impressing on the travel circuit. He's a crafty ball-handler that has real breakdown ability in isolations and also does a great job of pitching the ball ahead in transition. He creates space off the bounce as a scorer, makes shots from behind the arc, and finishes with creativity over size in the paint. He's terrific defensively at the point of attack, utilizing both quick feet and quick hands to be a disruptive on-ball defender. One of the summer's breakout stars nationally, Ndong is a versatile offensive piece that has an elite skill in his ability to make shots from behind the arc. He's a fluid mover that should continue to add strength to his frame, has good instincts as an off-ball cutter, and has plus length that allows him to score it around the basket over size. Defensively, he can guard on the perimeter with his length and mobility and does a nice job of rebounding in space, he also shows a good understanding of how to play angles and is disruptive in passing lanes. A 6'5" wing that can really shoot the basketball, Lysik does a nice job of spacing the floor both in transition and in the half court. He's able to operate as a roller or pop guy out of ball screens and does a nice job of moving off drives. He's also started to leverage his shooting to open up driving lanes. On the other end of the floor, he is able to rebound in traffic and can defend up and down a position.
