MN Sophomore ID Camp: Jack’s Well-Rounded Prospects

He has the athleticism to play on the perimeter, where he can handle and create with the ball in his hands. The 6'3” shooting guard also has the strength to match up with forwards and hold his own with his interior defense. He dominates the game with his scoring and passing, as he was setting his teammates up so well. He could grab a rebound then push the ball in a flash to create a transition opportunity. He was one of the bigger players on the floor, but has a very versatile skillset to play on the wing. He was tough to stop when getting downhill, being too quick for forwards and too strong for opposing guards. He looked good on shot makes in the mid-range, being able to face up or play out of the post. He is a versatile defender, being able to defend in the post or man up on opposing guards on the perimeter. He is an excellent shot blocker and was making opposing players pay for trying him inside. He was a matchup nightmare inside, as he could post up or roll to the basket for scores around the basket, including a bigtime one-hand slam in traffic. He was also a difference maker with his interior defense, blocking shots and coming away with contested rebounds. The 6'0” guard played hard and unselfishly, making plays all over the floor. He is a great creator, being able to attack the basket hard, where he could convert on a tough finish or kick out to an open teammate. He stands at 6'6” and caught my eye in a variety of areas. He has above the rim level athleticism, showing off his explosiveness on both sides of the ball.
