<p class="text-gray-700">Hunter was nothing short of fantastic for Highland who went undefeated on the weekend, and he's looking like one of the top guards in the DMV and a high major prospect coaches should get involved with. He was lights out as he put up big numbers throughout the day showing his speed in transition and burst in the half court to get by defenders. He shot the ball well when defenders went under or backed off him, he finished well at the rim and in the midrange, he drew contact well and got to the line often, and he made plays for others when the defense started to collapse on him.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Claiborne always seems to be productive every time we watch him, and while he's on a team with three nationally ranked players he was as consistent as anyone producing on both ends of the floor. He set the tone with his defensive pressure and toughness on that end of the floor, he shot the ball well off the catch from deep, he put pressure on the defense getting in the lane where he finished and made plays for others, and his leadership was evident as he played plays when his team needed him to the most.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Montague is ready for a big senior season for Woodside, as the combo guard is one of the more well rounded guards in the 757 and it showed as he produced across the board for his team in both of their games. He's a strong guard who does a great job identifying mismatches and getting downhill to finish over smaller defenders, he shot the ball well from deep off the catch, he showed his ability to handle pressure and make plays for others on the ball, and he brought a lot of energy and toughness on the defensive end too.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Walker is another one of those often overlooked Petersburg players who makes a big impact when he's on the floor and takes advantage of being overlooked. He really brought defensive pressure and did a good job picking up full court and turning ball handlers, he lived in the lane and showed his ability to finish through contact, he brought a lot of toughness and played with a competitive chip, and he showed he's going to be a big part of this talented Petersburg group this year.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Williams was Bird's breakout player last year as he came out of nowhere to be one of the top scorers in the Richmond area, and the way he played this weekend I expect nothing less of him this year. He's a very good shooter from deep with a quick release and he made shots at a good clip from deep, he showed improvement in his ability to work off the bounce and get to spots in the midrange and to the rim, he was excellent in their press and jumped passing lanes for easy buckets, and he showed a lot of confidence as their go to guy and senior leader.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Williams was one of the more fun guards to watch over the weekend, where I made the comparison to Andre Miller as he doesn't shoot very much but he has complete control of the game and makes everyone around him better. He plays with tremendous pace and patience letting things develop and handling pressure well, he's excellent in ball screens where he can read the defense and deliver different types of passes, he's a flashy but accurate passer who can thread the needle and diver the defense with his eyes, and he's a very high IQ defender as well.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Brown is one of the top returning scorers in the NOVA area, and he showed that won't change this season as he put on a clinic scoring the ball in a lot of different ways. He's a strong guard who can get downhill and finishes well through contact, he can get to spots and create space where he made difficult shots in the midrange, he worked well off the ball and made shots from deep, and he did a good job jumping passing lanes and turning defense into offense as well.</p>
