The Trainers Collective Camp—hosted by elite trainers Sam Franklin, Stanley Boateng, Nick Wunschl, and Jordan Newman—brought together a talented collection of their top clients to host an intensive mini-camp and showcase their offseason development. The event gave an early look at several rising sophomores who are making major strides in their skill sets.

Here is a breakdown of the standout prospects from the Class of 2028 who made an impression at the showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='2393606' first='Cole' last='Jansons'] | 6'11 C | Oswego

Jansons was one of the most intriguing evaluations of the day. The 6'11 center displayed noticeable growth in his offensive foundation, pairing fluid footwork with clean execution on simple post moves. Long recognized for his defensive presence and elite targeted size in the paint, his offensive skillset is rapidly catching up. He moves well for his size, presents a massive target inside, and projects as a high-upside interior prospect as his game continues to expand.

[player_tooltip player_id='2538631' first='Grant' last='Smith'] | 6'5 F | Lyons

Smith delivered a complete, high-level performance that reinforced his trajectory as a Division 1 prospect. His offensive versatility stood out immediately: he knocked down shots from the perimeter, generated high-percentage looks out of the mid-range, and used his length and vertical athleticism to elevate over smaller defenders on drives. Playing with high activity and poise on both ends of the floor, Smith consistently dictated the flow of the game whenever he was on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='2540205' first='John' last='Brown IV'] | 6'6 F | Homewood-Flossmoor

Brown was dynamic working off the wing, constantly putting pressure on the defense with his ability to score off the bounce. He utilized his high-level functional athleticism to finish strong through contact around the rim and remains a constant playmaking threat above the cylinder whenever he finds open space. His combination of vertical bounce and perimeter attack makes him an impactful scoring wing to track.

Lameck Hassan | 6'10 C | Romeoville

A high-impact newcomer to keep an eye on, Hassan looks the part of a college-ready big man physically at 6'10. He dominated the interior as an instant glass cleaner, rim protector, and vertical lob threat. Hassan operates cleanly as a functional roll man in pick-and-roll sets, using his frame to set hard screens and finish plays above the rim. While still developing his overall feel for the game, his physical tools and physical profile give him an exceptionally high floor alongside quality guard play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2751053' first='Jacob' last='Only'] | 6'1 G | DePaul Prep

Only brought steady, physical lead-guard play throughout the showcase. Standing at a solid 6'1, he handled defensive pressure comfortably, using his strength to keep defenders on his hip and probe into the lane. Only demonstrated true three-level scoring ability, combining a soft touch around the rim with a reliable perimeter shot. When collapsing the defense on paint touches, he consistently made accurate, dependable passes to open shooters.

[player_tooltip player_id='2411146' first='Edwin' last='Karnauchovas'] | 6'3 G | Buffalo Grove

Karnauchovas impressed with his combination of physical guard play and crafty ball-handling. At 6'3, he used his size effectively to probe the defense, change speeds, and generate looks inside the paint. He flashed a balanced scoring package across all three levels, showing great patience off the bounce and the ability to finish creatively through traffic.
