Top New Names from 2027 Rankings Update Part 4

Our 2027 rankings update saw over 25 players make their debut on the list and in this article we'll take a look at six of those players!    I caught Noszka in July with Midwest Elite Cincy MHC. Noszka is a prolific shot-maker on the wing as he knocked down 41.9% of his 3-point shots last season for Roger Bacon and continued to show that at the grassroots level. Noszka had a monster performance against Purcell Marian in February, knocking down seven 3-pointers in the win for his team. Regional small college programs should take a look at Noszka if they are looking to add a wing shooter who can make the extra pass for his team.     Another prospect I got to see on the MHC in July, Williams played with the Ohio Bruins this summer and I liked what he brought to the table. Williams showed he could knock down open shots, was unselfish with the ball in his hands and showed off good intangibles on the court. These traits will make him appealing to small college programs and Saint Edward has a rich tradition of sending players to the college level and having them thrive whether it's at a Division I, II or II program. Williams should add his name to this long list of college players Head Coach Eric Flannery has helped develop and the Eagles have a chance to make another deep playoff run this season.     Liberty Benton has a chance to be a real sleeper this winter in northwest Ohio and Conaway should play a major role as a versatile forward who checks a lot of boxes. Conaway recently attended the Hillsdale Elite Camp and should be a target for regional small college programs. Conaway has the height and length to be an impact player in the paint at both ends of the court and seems like a prospect who could take a major jump once he arrives on a college campus and puts some weight and muscle onto his frame. Don't sleep on Conaway and Liberty Benton this winter!     Perrysburg is one of the top programs in northwest Ohio and they had a dynamic guard duo on Rice Basketball Academy. I caught Bower in Richmond on the NxtPro circuit and he impressed with his feel for the game and ability to score without dribbling the basketball. Those types of buckets will translate to the college game as a majority of buckets are finished off the catch. I expect Perrysburg to have another strong season with a nice senior class that will look to go out as district and conference champs.     Maumee Valley Country Day has been a small school program to watch over the past few seasons and their loaded 2027 class has lost a couple transfers but still has enough talent to make a deep run this postseason. Wilson is a nice wing athlete who is at his best in transition and can also score off cuts and second chance opportunities. He'll have the chance to play with the ball in his hands more often with the transfer of Jeybrehm Price to a prep school and this opportunity could help boost his recruitment. The Hawks will once again be one of the top teams to watch in Toledo!     Toledo St Francis has a ton of talent and Hornbeak is a nice complimentary guard who should be a nice release point for [player_tooltip player_id='2891905' first='Oj' last='Waller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2195059' first='Chris' last='Poellnitz III'] this season. Hornbeak can handle the ball against pressure, slash to the rim and can also use the Knights size to throw the ball to the block for his teammates to finish. Defensively is where Hornbeak has the potential to make the biggest difference because he has the frame and quickness to defend the opposing teams top scoring option. The Detroit Catholic League is always loaded with talent and Hornbeak is just another player to watch in a league that will have marquee matchups every time two league opponents square off.
