August 17th-18th Cedric Cobb Sr and I held the 9th annual Southwest Basketball Camp at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ.

120 players came to gain exposure in front of college coaches and scouts plus compete versus some top end players over the two days.

Each player competed in 5 games for the two days plus 48 competed in an extra All-Star Game. (Top-24 or Top-48 All-Star Game)

Here is the 1st Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2829293' first='Noah' last='Bol'] Sequoia Prep

A massive post player who moves really in space and he is a true rim runner throwing everything down way above the rim. He rebounds everything in his area and scores with offensive rebound put backs and thunderous dunks in heavy traffic. He is an impressive athlete combined with his size and length.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412268' first='Maurice' last='Carter II'] Millennium

The most outstanding player of the two days was Carter II. His overall skill, speed, tight handle, pace and competitive nature on both ends of the court were on display. His mid-range pull-up is tough and his three point stroke keeps extending out further. He will flush it down easily and he competes at a high level on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1873684' first='Tyson' last='Crandall'] Highland

One of the top scoring guards in the senior class was just showing off in stretches. He has range from way beyond the three point line around the volleyball line and he will pull-up at any time from mid-range off the dribble with a quick trigger. He also smartly cuts off the ball. He will have a monster senior season for the Hawks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746700' first='Carter' last='Glass'] Sandra Day O'Connor

Easily the top shooter at the camp was definitely Glass. He has one of the quicker releases and squares up perfectly like you should. He will rattle off triples one by one and in game 1 he made all five attempts and in the all-star game he was four out of four. He is quick to the basket as well and will play perfectly off of their star Byrd this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2133646' first='Myles' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows

The top pure point guard at the camp plays at a pace that keeps defenses off balanced and is always in control of the game. His ability to change speeds allows him to create separation from his defenders plus he can burst by to the rim. He will also rise up from mid to the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='1543533' first='Jordan' last='Green'] Phhoenix Prep

The Fresno State commit put on a show the first day in attendance. He got injured the next morning at practice and could not attend on day two. He showed what he brings to the court with high flying dunks, mid-range jumpers and corner threes. He rebounded anything near him and should have a big season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194803' first='Pierce' last='Harrington'] Saguaro (Pictured)

A bigger guard is growing in height and getting more athletic as he ages. He was terrorizing the rim on the break above the rim and he is very hard to contain off the dribble. He has a tighter handle and an aggressive nature to attack the rim at will but then the skill to shoot it from mid to the three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386978' first='Jaydon' last='Hayes'] Willow Canyon

A tough combo guard can make plays for his teammates but is wired to score. He has a knack of getting to the spots he wants with a nice handle and his top-end strength and frame. He will rise up over the defender and fade away and he can shoot the three or post up his defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='2552733' first='Donovan' last='Palmer'] Sunnyslope

A bigger power forward showed everything you would need at the position. He runs the floor, many times beating his opponents up the court, he can get downhill with a nice handle and plays off of the pick and roll game and will throw it down with soft hands. He rebounds and blocks shots at a high level.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767903' first='Jacobi' last='Thompson II'] Mesa

An attacking guard can play and defend nearly every single position on the floor. His handle is impressive in very tight spaces and will throw a dart to a teammate or get downhill and finish off tough shots with next level body control or just dunk it above the rim. His three point stroke is looking more crisp and he rebounds as well as you can for a guard. His ability to defend every position makes him unique. He was the only underclassmen to make the 1st team.
