The 2029 ranking is finally here, and we've saw these prospects during the high school, Spring, and Summer ball as well to go off of, and this is a pretty deep class that we feel will have plenty of changes throughout their time. Here are the top prospects in the 2029 class that we've seen with high expectations for the year.

Spann made his mark in his freshman season as a complementary piece to T-Ridge and comes into his sophomore year in a much bigger role. The thing is, from what we saw from him this Spring and Summer, he looks beyond ready to prove himself. Dash looked great with Mountain Stars; he dominated at Metro State Camp, and we also saw him have his moments at UNC Camp as well. He's been consistent, and you know what to expect from him. A bully guard who uses his body, goes through defenders on finishes, spaces the floor, and can break a defender down and get to where he wants. There will be a ton of opportunities for him this year where he could very well be one of the best young duos in the state, and I'm expecting a big leap.

Rooney is a smooth and decisive game that I like, and his versatility certainly stands out when watching him. This Summer he showed that he's good both on and off-ball, he attacks and gets to his spots, and is a 3-level scorer. His game seemed to make a jump over the summer as he's a guard with size, he isn't afraid to take on ball-handling duties and will likely be the primary ballhandler in the Mountain Vista offense this year. The offensive game was on display, and he turned heads all Summer long as his size, decision-making, and ability to affect the game on both ends of the floor started to take off. Rooney makes one of the bigger leaps in the class as he enters the Top-10, and I believe he makes a huge mark on varsity this season.

Jamari had the accolades as one of the top freshmen last year, as he was the leading scorer and assist-man on his varsity team, but there were not a ton of wins, and his 3-point shot looked to be nonexistent. Well, looks like one of those have change,d as he came to our showcase and his 3-point shot was one of his strong suits on the day, and we also saw it over the Summer. There's been a massive improvement in his game, and he has moments where he looks unstoppable at his age group. He's quick, explosive, and competitive, and that has the makings of a solid guard who could take his conference by storm. He already had the keys to the team, but this upcoming season, with a reliable 3-point shot to go along with it, I believe he might be one of the dark horse favorites to be the best player in his conference. I'm certainly high on Jamari as the upside is there.

Urich got his feet wet on varsity as a Freshman and had a couple of moments that showed him what he needed to work on, and this summer he seemed to be playing at a whole new level that Windsor will certainly get behind moving forward. Urich has good size as a 6'3 SG who shoots the ball well from beyond the arc, who can create for himself off the dribble, and also isn't afraid to battle down low with the bigs at times. What really stands out about his game for me is his defense. He's a deny defender who doesn't let opponents get comfortable, is a multidimensional defender, and he competes on both ends. He seemed to play with a chip when we watched him both in and out of state, and he showed that he could be one of the class's best players with a standout EYCL showing as well. He's a player who still has a bit to prove, but his highs this summer has me thinking that something has seemed to click for him.

Nene is a big stock riser for me as I believe he's one of the hardest working players in this class and 2029's best Swiss-Army Knife. He does it all on the floor and is so high IQ that many parts of his game go unnoticed because his game isn't only predicated on scoring. He's a passer who sees plays happen before they develop, he communicates on where teammates should go, he's making cuts not just to score but to space the floor, and you even see it as a help-side defender. That Windsor team loses one of the state's best prospects this year but have a young group who could fill in the gaps, and that's what Nene excels in. Really enjoyed how he played over the Summer and I hope I don't bite my tongue with all of these things I was able to see from him.

Beau rounds out this list of risers in the new rankings as he consistently progressed each time that we saw him this Summer and we saw him a ton. In different events, we saw different layers to his game, and he just seems to be adding more. He has good size for a PG, sees the floor, and makes plays for others. We also saw him create and attack mismatches, hit the mid-range over smaller defenders, and make some plays defensively as well. With the changes over at Grandview, this seems like a great opportunity for him to create a spot and show the type of player he can be. He jumped over 50 spots with the offseason he had, and if he continues to play and add like this he should be pushing for more.
