Prospects Who Caught My Attention At OTR Breakout Camp

During my latest evaluation session at On The Radar Breakout Camp, several Georgia prospects found their way into my notebook with performances that made them worth tracking moving forward. Some impressed with their ability to create offense and put pressure on defenses, while others stood out with their motor, physicality, rebounding, shooting, and two-way impact. With players from the 2029 and 2030 classes still having plenty of development ahead of them, these prospects displayed intriguing tools and flashes of what their games could eventually become. He has a quick first step, handles the ball well, and does a good job using his dribble to get to his spots on the floor. He consistently created paint touches and looked comfortable attacking gaps, but his ability to stop and score in the midrange was another part of his game that stood out. He is tough to contain once he gets downhill because he can change speeds, create separation, and make plays off the bounce. What really caught my attention was his confidence. He plays with the mindset of a scorer and has the ability to heat up quickly once he sees a couple of shots go through the net. His activity level allowed him to impact possessions on both ends, and he never seemed to take plays off. He was particularly valuable when the game became physical, as he embraced contact and continued battling around the paint. His willingness to sprint the floor also created opportunities for him to get involved in transition. At 6'4, he showed that he is more than just a player who operates around the paint, as he was comfortable putting the ball on the floor and attacking the cup. His ability to get downhill combined with his length made him a productive finisher around the rim. He also consistently made second-effort plays, which showed up on the offensive glass where he created put-back opportunities and additional possessions. Defensively, his length was an asset when contesting shots, while his activity on the glass allowed him to impact both ends of the floor. He showed that he can knock down the trey ball and provide spacing offensively, but what stood out just as much was everything he did away from his shot-making. He competed on both ends, stayed active, worked the glass, and consistently put himself around the ball. He was willing to make hustle plays and contribute in areas that do not always show up in the scoring column, giving him value even when he was not getting shots. That two-way approach is encouraging for a young guard. Once he got penetration, he flashed the vision to recognize teammates and make plays instead of becoming solely focused on getting his own shot. That balance between creating for himself and others gives him intriguing potential with the ball in his hands. He showed that he can help organize the offense while also being an attacking threat when opportunities present themselves. He has a solid physical profile and played bigger than his listed 6'1 frame, particularly when attacking the glass and competing around the paint. He was willing to mix it up on the glass, pursue loose balls, and use his body to make opponents work for everything they got. Defensively, he competed and did a good job contesting shots instead of giving up easy looks. His rebounding and physical play gave his team additional possessions and allowed him to impact the game without needing the offense to run through him.
