We're updating the 2027 rankings as we head into our final tournament of grassroots. We had all Spring and Summer to review and are ready to look at the 2027 class. We also have showcase season, Fall Leagues, and such that we'll update again, but for now, we focus on what we've seen in the past few months. Let's take a look at the players who are making the rankings for the first time after having a solid summer.

We have showcase season coming up, and with the end of club scene coming quickly, rankings, and showcases here, now is the perfect time to lock in with a subscription.

Some of the biggest risers in our rankings started by showing up & showing out at a showcase & they're approaching quickly!

Your showcase evaluation could be the one that changes everything.

Freshman & Sophomore Showcase - August 8th (Rankings Immediately following)
Top Expo (2027 & 2028s) - September 13th

Use Colorado26PH25OFF at checkout for 25% OFF & receive a custom registered graphic that comes with it! He has excellent size, he's active on both ends of the floor, and he's always looking to make plays. Mecca is a team player; he seems to always be at the right place and has his flashes of wanting to take over. Now, it is about consistency. For Premier, he was able to show that he's ready for even more offensively and that's what was holding him back. He makes a rise in the rankings, and I am sure that at the next update, he'll rise even higher. Big expectations for him this season.

Heath will be making his rankings debut this go round as we loved what we saw from him at Colorado Live. Heath made his mark by just being active and wanting to get teammates involved. He was getting out in transition, pushing the pace when he got the ball, and can play both on and off ball. He also shows that he has an IQ, and despite not being a name that we've seen a ton of, he looks like he fits, and that's the biggest thing. Chatfield should be a team that makes some noise this year, and will need some other players to step up and make it easier on their players. That's where I expect Heath to make his biggest impact, and for that, he jumps in the rankings.

Lozano stood out for Summit this year as he put up 15.6 points a game. The thing is, not many people have gone out and seen Summit play. I can admit that I am one of them. I did, however, see that Lozano wanted to get his name out there a bit more and played on our circuit with Morgan Dawgs to prove that he belongs. He was impactful offensively as a smooth scorer who gets to his spots, passes, and cuts, and finishes around the rim. He can also shoot the 3-ball and get going in various ways, and that is where I said I have to have him on the radar. We'll check out a Summit game and see how he fares, but do think he will be a name that makes even more noise this year. Solid summer for him, where he got on the radar. I think he should get out and get to our showcase to continue proving he can lace them up against anyone and stand out.

Falcon had a pretty solid season where they made some noise and proves that they're one of the top teams down South and will look to return the core pieces to that squad. One of those pieces that should stand out is combo guard [player_tooltip player_id='2530510' first='Javion' last='Barnes']. Barnes put up a balanced stat line of 8.6 points, 3.1 ebounds and 3.0 assists a game as a junior. He finished at the rim, slashed and attacked inside, and showed to be an interior presence for them that they can let operate on fast breaks. He followed that up with us seeing him this summer, and he added more of that to his game, but he looks like one of the better perimeter defensers as well. He made it difficult for opposing guards, cut off the opposing team's best player, and is an active defender. If he brings that mix into the year, it's going to be another solid year for them, and he's a player I expect to make some noise. He'll make his rankings debut this go-round.

Liberty has some pieces over there, and now they have to put it together. Baca showed out this summer and now has to put himself in a situation to be able to contribute to a team that has some expectations this year. The depth is there, and from what we saw from him at Colorado Live, he can be a contributor. Baca spaces the floor, hits shots from deep to space it, and also can mix it up and go inside at times as well. His performance at Live has him on our radar and making a rankings debut. He should get out to the showcase so we can see more of him, but from the looks of it, he'll have a chance to be a helpful piece for Liberty. Solid stock boosting Summer from Baca.

Robinson had a few moments for Northfield as a junior, but the way that he performed this summer, we wonder if there's more there for the guard. Morgan Dawgs allowed him to explore his game a bit, and we saw him have some big-time performances this summer. At the Tune Up, he looked like one of the more explosive guards as he got downhill, attacked off the dribble, and got to his spots. He had a standout performance against one of the top grassroots teams where he delivered a win, continuously attacked the rim and converted and that is exactly what Northfield will need from him, With them having to fill such a huge scoring load this year, him being able to step in and be a reliable scorer could help them immensely so its important that he brings the same confidence and production that he had this summer to the season. He makes his rankings debut.
