USE CODE “baxley30” FOR 30% OFF THE FIRST PURCHASE OF ANY SUBSCRIPTION

Saturday brought a full slate of high-level competition to Phenom Summer Havoc Live, with prospects from across South Carolina continuing to make their case against quality opposition. As the day rolled on, several players separated themselves through productive performances, consistency, and their ability to impact games on both ends of the floor. Here are the prospects who stood out most during Saturday's action.

Headlining my list of biggest standouts from Saturday in Bermuda Run is [player_tooltip player_id='3661466' first='Jackson' last='Allmon']. Allmon is a new name that I learned this weekend, but one I want to keep close tabs on moving forward. He is definitely an under-the-radar player because he plays his high school ball for Palmetto HomeSchool, but what I saw from him with [program_tooltip program_id='3700794' first='Team' last='KST'] matches the eye-catching numbers. Jackson plays extremely hard and is impactful in many ways, such as shooting, playmaking, defending, and rebounding. When he's on the floor, you will never have to question Allmon's impact and desire to win, so despite only having seen him once in person, I feel great about him as a next-level prospect.

Mikey is a much more familiar name. The Rabun Gap Eagle spent time as a Riverside Warrior and a Greer Yellow Jacket before heading down to the Peach State, so it was good to see him back on the court with [program_tooltip program_id='2163938' first='Next' last='Level Elite']. Williams is another elite competitor, so whether it's by example or vocally, he is always a strong leader and presence on the floor. Mikey's balance of perimeter shooting and rim pressure stood out on Saturday, as he went for 23 points in a high-level matchup with Dub Salem. He has excellent speed, is a strong guard, and handles and finishes well in traffic, so don't let the size fool you - Williams can be a really good guard if he chooses basketball in college.

Next up on the list is [player_tooltip player_id='1303623' first='Cylan' last='McLeod'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2440653' first='SC' last='Blazers']. He was one of the fastest guards at the Phenom Summer Havoc Live, possessing both quick-twitches to beat defenders in short spaces and open-floor speed to play in transition. McLeod is also bouncy around the rim, which makes him a capable finisher once he gets into the paint. Cylan brings a nice balance of passing and scoring, plus he takes pride in making plays on the defensive end of the floor. He finished with 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks in a win over Team Charlotte on Saturday.

Another senior guard out of Columbia to know is Jackson. Carter caught my eye in the all-South Carolina matchup between [program_tooltip program_id='2078742' first='SC' last='Kings'] and KST, going for 15 points, 7 assists, and 4 steals in a win. Jackson was impactful early with elite on-ball defense and passing, showing his ability to force turnovers and limit them himself to set up his teammates. As the game got tighter, Carter stepped up by using his strong frame to score at the rim and create space in the mid-range, which he did for the game-winning shot in overtime.

[player_tooltip player_id='1888608' first='Marlon' last='Lewis'] caps off my list of biggest standouts from day two of the Phenom Summer Havoc Live. This was my first time getting to see Marlon in person in over a year, and he showed some good things that flashed his potential at the next level. Lewis' length is one of the first things that stands out when you watch NLE Epting, so if he fills out that frame a little more, he will have the size to be impactful in college basketball. That size allowed him to block shots and finish around the rim, but his perimeter shooting is an added weapon that I haven't seen before. Marlon hit two threes in the matchup with NC Spartans, one on the move in transition and another off the catch in the left corner. If that shooting stays consistent, and he continues to play with a high motor defensively, Lewis could see a big jump in his recruitment.
