Carter was MIA the first time I saw the Bearcats in November, so it was great to see him back on the floor tonight. Jackson was far and away the best player on the floor for Brookland-Cayce, tallying 18 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. He had several more assist-worthy passes, but the two things I was most impressed with were his ability to play through contact and knock down jump shots. They played off each other because Carter effectively used legal bumps to create space for mid-range jumpers. Jackson also had four made threes, which is an exciting addition to his game this year.

Jackson has made the move over to the Bearcats from AC Flora HS. Carter is the younger brother of former Westwood player Tre Jackson who went onto play at Iowa State and Western Carolina. Carter was able to finish at the cup here today by showing good body control on the way to the bucket.
He really showcased his perimeter skills especially from behind the 3-point line. Carter played the game at a very nice even keel all day long for the Bearcats. Look for him to pop in the rankings next time around for sure.
