The 6th Annual Northwest June D1 Recruiting Event - also known to many as "WIBCA" - took place the last weekend in June and many of the very top teams in both Oregon and Washington matched up in some very competitive games over the two days at Bellevue College, Lake Washington High School, and Sammamish High School. The event was very well attended as Division I coaches from the Pac-12, Mountain West, Big Sky, Big West, West Coast Conference, and other conferences were sitting on the sidelines watching, along with many D-II, D-III, NAIA, and JC coaches from all over the West Coast.

We had the opportunity to head up I-5 and check out a number of games at Sammamish and Lake Washington High Schools and here are some of the prospects we saw who made an impression on us and should see their stock rise going up to and into this upcoming season.

Already a starter from last season, expect Olvera's offensive production to increase by quite a bit in 2026-27. As we've seen in other viewings this spring and summer, the rising senior forward was not only aggressive but very effective offensively, showing off a jumper with range past the three-point line, the ability to create off the bounce and use his size and strength for finishes inside. 14 points, a couple of rebounds and a couple of assists for Tualatin as the Timberwolves finished out WIBCA with a victory.

One of the reasons why Jesuit has been able to play a little faster than usual the past couple of seasons is because of the presence of Harrison. The rising senior point guard can really push the ball up the floor and initiate the fast break, and in Jesuit's win over Canyon (AK), he made great decisions scoring the ball himself or dishing it off to a teammate for the easy layup. Harrison was solid with his mid-range pull-up as well and created havoc with his quickness and fast hands on defense.

Foster will be the main man offensively for Gresham this upcoming season and it showed in Gresham's win over Glacier Peak at WIBCA. The rising junior point guard was sharp from distance as we've often seen in the past, knocking down three threes, but was also good getting to the hoop and initiating contact. His smooth stroke helped him hit 8-for-8 from the free throw line, and also looking to get others involved, he finished with 21 points and 3 assists.

Some very nice contributions from Onick, who served as Gresham's main big man down low at WIBCA. The rising junior has good hands and good feet, and converted some solid post moves when he got the ball down low, finishing with a soft touch around the hoop. He did a good job with fundamentally blocking out, helping secure a number of defensive rebounds if not for himself but also for teammates. Onick showed off some nice court sense and interior passing as well, finishing with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Bruce did a little bit of everything for Wilsonville at WIBCA. He played effectively both with the ball in his hands and off the ball, and focused on getting his teammates involved before looking to score the ball himself. The rising senior hit some jumpers but the majority of his points were off hard drives to the hoop, where he drew contact and then converted at the line (7-for-8). As has been the case all summer, he was extremely active on the boards and finished with a total of 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in a tight 57-55 win to close out the event for the Wildcats.

With the graduation of Jemai Lake, Lemon steps into a bigger offensive role with the Timberwolves and he was able to showcase that at WIBCA. The rising senior combo guard shot the ball well from the perimeter, both off the catch-and-shoot and using his own dribble to create space for himself, and was aggressive with his drives to the basket. He capably found teammates for baskets as well and showed that he's a tremendous rebounder for his size.
