Indiana Standouts From Peach Jam, Augusta Live, and 3SSB Events

Friday was a pretty crazy day when it comes to travel and overall coverage. Not only did the Prep Hoops National Open Championship tip-off back in Indiana, our Logan Greenwell has boots on the ground coverage all weekend from that event, but my travels continued out in South Carolina and Georgia. On Friday alone I ended up at five different gyms to cover three different events across two states. Those days are pretty chaotic in the moment, but a lot of fun to look back on after the fact. Here are some of the Indiana standouts from the three events I saw on Friday.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    Coolman's three-point shooting and overall playmaking as a big point guard was what helped Indiana Elite 16u build a comfortable lead early on in Friday's nightcap. Then, another big three-pointer late and some clutch free throws helped to seal the deal. He finished up with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win. There were several college coaches in attendance, including Northwestern and Notre Dame, to see Coolman in that contest.     [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u picked up their first win of the week at Peach Jam on Friday morning as they defeated Meanstreets 17u 88-67. Miller, a Top 5 prospect in Indiana's Class of 2027 finished just shy of a triple-double with 32 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. He was 8-13 from three-point range in the game. Last summer we really started to beat the drum that Miller was one of the most talented pure shot-makers in the country. That has remained true throughout this week at Peach Jam. Miller scored 20 points and made five more threes in their evening loss to AB Elite 17u.     His scholarship ticket to the next level may well be on the gridiron, but Murphy is awfully tough on the hardwood as well. The 5'11” point guard is as explosive as anyone in the gym. He attacks the basket so fearlessly and can elevate to finish over and around size. Murphy was a big part of [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 17u's win on Friday evening.     It has been a very good spring and summer for this rising senior forward from Cathedral High School. He has been a consistent top performer for UNRNKD 17u and that was the case once again on Friday at Augusta Live. Pippins put on a dunking display in the game we watched showing off his athleticism and interior strength that makes him so hard to handle inside.     All Ohio Baneville 15u outlasted [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 15u 60-59 in one of the most exciting games of the week. The victory qualified them for the Peach Jam tournament bracket. Five scorers reached double-figures with Robinson, Indiana's top Class of 2030 prospect, finishing with 11 points and 5 rebounds. He missed a large portion of the second half after a hard fall led to a back injury or else he would have likely put up even bigger numbers. Still, Baneville doesn't win the game without his two-way interior presence. The 6'7" forward is so advanced for his young age.     It wasn't the Peach Jam showing for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] 17u that they had hoped, especially after winning the title last year at the 16u level, but it was a solid week personally for Welker. He capped off a strong Peach Jam with 15 points and 18 points respectively on Friday showcasing his offensive versatility and floor spacing ability as a 6'7” forward. Look for him to continue to be highly sought after at the mid-major level.     This explosive guard from Culver Academy has had an excellent summer. We first saw him down at IU Team Camp, then saw him consistently put up big numbers through the rest of June, and now he is playing well on the big stage at the 3SSB Championship in Rock Hill. Welton knocked in a couple of early three-point shots for [program_tooltip program_id='2076924' first='EG10' last=''] 16u and showcased his athleticism and finishing ability on some tough drives to the basket. He is quickly becoming a stock-rising guard in Indiana's Class of 2028.
