EYBL Vegas: Top 15u W/F/C

LAS VEGAS — EYBL made its lone west coast stop last weekend at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The Nike-based circuit had its teams inside a 20-court facility as some programs sharpened up for Peach Jam and others battled it out to earn a spot in the summer's most prestigious club/travel event. Below are the top 15u wings, forwards and centers we were able to get eyes on.    Okam's combination of size, length, athleticism and fluidity as a rim-runner and transition finisher made him an effective slasher and finisher in the open court. The 6-foot-9 rising sophomore was most effective on the defensive end where he controlled the paint with his rebounding ability and his instincts as a rim protector. Okam blocked and altered shots around the rim and used his length to get tips on passes which led to him averaging 2.6 blocks and 2.2 steals per game during Session IV.     Duggins was one of the most versatile offensive prospects - regardless of position - at the 15u level. The 6-foot-10 forward/center had his arsenal on full display complete with a skill-set and touch on the block, the ability to step out and knock down threes and the ball skills and feel to create off the bounce in isolation or dribble hand-off type actions. Duggins finished the EYBL season averaging just under a double-double at 17.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.     Copeland fits the bill as an explosive, active and high motor wing who had his hands in just about every aspect of the game. The 6-foot-7 rising sophomore was best offensively in transition where he used his quick vertical athleticism to catch and finish around the rim. Copeland was also effective with his ability to do the "glue-guy" things like offensive rebound, defend multiple positions and generate extra possessions with his hustle and energy.     When it comes to having an advanced offensive skill-set, Jackson was one of the most polished wing scorers we saw at the 15u level. The 6-foot-7 wing boasts your prototypical wing frame with the combination of ball skills and creativity off the bounce to create for himself and others in half-court and transition offense. Jackson showcased a clean three-point shooting stroke off the catch and was a tough cover when getting downhill and finishing through contact around the rim.     Cannon was the star of the very first game we took in at Session IV and proved to be one of the best spot shooters at the 15u level. The long, wiry 6-foot-7 wing connected on seven triples on eight attempts with his combination of size, fluid and high release and impeccable shot selection led to his efficiency. Cannon flashed deep range, multiple spot consistency and repeatable shooting mechanics.     Kozlowski was a "jack-of-all-trades" type of prospect whose dribble, pass and shoot skill-set, to go along with his advanced basketball IQ, made him a prospect who impacted a variety of statistical categories. The 6-foot-6 wing showed the ability to rebound the defensive glass, push the break and get his team into their half-court offense or make a good decision with the ball in transition. From and offensive standpoint, Kozlowski was very effective as a driver and finisher in half-court offense with the ability to draw contact and get to the free throw line.     Phillips continued his summer emergence as one of the top forwards out west with his blend of fluid and explosive athleticism, ability to run the floor with purpose and energy and his activity as an offensive and defensive rebounder. Phillips' long, wiry frame and mobility on both ends of the floor lend to his versatility and high long-term ceiling.
