As dominant as anybody on the EYBL 15 U circuit, Duggins is an absolute two-way terror on the court. Duggins is able to play either the four or the five at a high level on both ends of the court. While I love the defensive versatility and forceful play of Duggins as a shot blocker, point of attack defender and rebounder, Duggins ceiling will be determined if he can become a legit perimeter shooting threat. If Duggins is forcing the defense to respect his 3-point shot and converting at a high percentage from the foul line, he could become the consensus pick for the fourth best prospect in the class as the top three are the same names in slightly different order, Duggins is ranked 9th and 12th on ESPN and Rivals respectively.

Grant brings positional size, an advanced overall skill set for his age and a strong feel for the game to the Bengals’ frontcourt. At 6’10”, he gives Greensboro Day a forward with a considerable size advantage, while his basketball IQ adds value to how he functions within the team’s structure. His willingness to play hard on both ends is an important aspect of his game for another title run for Greensboro Day. His combination of size, skill, and effort gives him a strong foundation as he continues to develop.

For Grant, the next step is turning his tools into consistent possession-to-possession production. Continuing to add strength, establish his presence, on the glass and make purposeful decisions with the ball will help him maximize his frontcourt role. He already has starting experience, and the Bengals will look for that familiarity to translate into greater responsibility.

He earned PTAC All-Conference and NCISAA 3A All-State honors as a freshman starter and participated in the Nike Elite 100 Camp. The supplied rankings list him No. 9 nationally in the 2029 class by ESPN and No. 12 by Rivals. His reported offers include Iowa, Florida State, NC State, High Point and Stetson.

Anchoring the Bengals will be five-star big man Grant Duggins. A top 10 nationally ranked prospect via ESPN and the number one player at his position in the country. The blend of size, skill, and production that Grant displayed throughout his freshman season justify the high praise that Grant has received. During an interview at the John Wall Invitational, Coach Johnson deemed Grant one of the best freshmen he’s ever coached. High praise from a coach that has seen loads of talent come through the doors of Greensboro Day.

Standing at 6’10, Grant is a nightmare for opponents. He can space the floor with his shooting or abuse defenders in the paint. The Bengals do a good job of keeping him on the move, forcing defenses to scramble and be out of position. During the summer, they used him more as a point-forward, letting him initiate offense. As if he wasn’t scary enough offensively, adding that to his shot blocking and rebounding just makes Grant even more unstoppable. With more pressure and expectations as a sophomore, expect Grant to continue progressing and producing at a high level.

Duggins has established himself as North Carolina’s top 2029 prospect early on in his high school career with his work at Greensboro Day and his production for Team CP3 15u this spring/summer only solidified that even further. Team CP3 15u went 3-2 in Peach Jam with Duggins averaging 13.8 Points, 9.0 Rebounds, 1.2 Assists, 0.6 Steals, and 1.2 Blocks per game while shooting 46% from the floor. Duggins also played the entire month with what looked like a modified version of an old school hockey mask to protect a facial injury and it bothered him some but he was still able to play through it at a high level and produce for his team. He’s the type of big man that generates a good shot for his team off of every touch.

Duggins was one of the most versatile offensive prospects – regardless of position – at the 15u level. The 6-foot-10 forward/center had his arsenal on full display complete with a skill-set and touch on the block, the ability to step out and knock down threes and the ball skills and feel to create off the bounce in isolation or dribble hand-off type actions. Duggins finished the EYBL season averaging just under a double-double at 17.2 points and 9.4 rebounds per game.

Duggins has made his debut at the top spot in the NC 2029 rankings and he has a real shot to be a true wire to wire #1 guy as the set of tools he possesses are truly unique. To be 6’10” with this feel and touch at this stage along with having true vertical pop gives him the ideal set of tools for the modern game. His role at Greensboro Day this past season was prominent and they got another state championship in the process. With Team CP3 15u he has been utterly dominant while starting to show more and more confidence in that athleticism, leading to a higher quantity of highlight moments for Duggins. He should be ranked near the top nationally amongst every national recruiting service and should be considered among the best prospects in North Carolina regardless of class.

Another young prospect that college coaches should be tracking if they are not already, he has potential to be very special over the next few years. He has a nice natural feel for the game, already understands proper spacing and will only continue to progress as he is given more time and opportunity.

It’s hard not to start with this one as the 6’10” freshman big man has been amongst the nations elite through the first half of the grassroots basketball season. Duggins was utterly dominant for Team CP3 EYBL 15u in what was a 4-0 weekend for that group. On the session in Memphis, Duggins averaged 23.3 Points, 10.5 Rebounds, 1.3 Assists, 0.8 Steals, and 2.8 Blocks per game on 74/46/81 shooting splits. Duggins possesses true three level touch, a cerebral approach to the game, and the athletic ability/size to make all of the plays necessary to get the job done as a feature big. After this weekend, Duggins made his debut in the ESPN 25 coming in at 12th nationally along with getting an offer from NC State. There aren’t many prospects in the country that have the set of tools Duggins brings to the table and he should continue to rise in the rankings nationally and is a lock to debut in the top spot here in NC when those rankings drop next week.

Duggins is a supremely gifted forward prospect for Team CP3 15u EYBL and his full game was on display in Atlanta as he helped lead his team to a 4-0 record on the weekend. Through the four games, Duggins averaged 17.5 Points, 9.5 Rebounds, 1.8 Assists, 1.3 Steals, and 1.5 Blocks on 59/42/71 shooting splits. Special numbers for a special player that seems to generate a high quality look for himself or a teammate every time he touches the basketball. Duggins is building real pedigree fast while showing continued growth in his overall game as he’s a high level athlete with incredible feel for the game as a front-court piece. He’s got legit outside touch and is starting to add on the necessary strength to deal with more physical post players. Duggins is a special prospect and this past weekend was symbolic of that.
