Warwick Workouts Elite Camp: Day 2 Standouts

Day two of Warwick Workouts Elite Camp brought the same energy and excitement as day one. All the players thrived in an ultra competitive environment against alot of the best players in the Dakotas. Ill go over a few players who looked especially good in all areas of the game on day two in 1vs1 and 5vs5 live action.    John shined with a smooth all-round game. Has game changing length on both ends of the floor at 6'6. Has good handles for the SF/PF position. Stepped out on a regular basis nocking down alot of three's, also showed he can hit contested three's with range. Nolan was able to guard smaller and quicker players using his length to his advantage. He had nice touch and footwork around the rim on post ups, also showed good toughness taking on older players at the same position.     Elite ballhandling skills and first step off catch. Cooper was almost automatic on catch and shoot opportunities. Even against some of the best cooper had little to no issues getting to basket for points or creating for teammates. In 1vs1 drills he shined as several times he scored 3 or 4 times in a row on pull-up jumpers/fadeaways or just going right by his defender before being stopped. Defensively he had super quick feet and hands along with great anticipation beating his defender to the spot. His court vision overall was also very good.     Always one of the toughest and grittiest players on the floor and baron once again showed those traits in camp. The righty showed nice ability of beating his defenders and finishing with his left hand on either side of the basket, had a great contested reverse layup for a score in 5vs5 action. In 1vs1 games he shot the deep three ball very well which made him even tougher to guard as defenders had to crowd him and that opened up his driving and pull up game.     Dominated in the 1vs1 drills with his explosive first step and creative finishes. Showed exceptional court vision and timely passes in transition in the 5vs5 segments of the camp. Ballhandling skills were secomd to none, had great speed and acceleration with the ball in his hands. As good as he was on offense hos defense was just a good creating steals and easy transition baskets with his quick hands and feet. Much tougher then I had anticipated with tough finishes in traffic at the hoop vs b8gger guys.     Easton had a very solid day two of camp showing a nice shooting touch and range on his three's. Solid defender in 1vs1 drills against some of Sd's best offensive players, smart player also as he rarely left his feet on defense vs shot fakes. Eastyn has a strong build and is able to defend against bigger players and out of position at times because or that strength. The lone Nd product held his own and then some vs some of sd's best.     Leyton had one of the best offensive "bags" on day two. Showed a nice fluid and consistent jumper from three point range, was able to get to his middy game off the bounce often in 1vs1 drills and then again in 5vs5 action. Arend is a very shifty and difficult ball handler to read as a defender, has a sweet crossover dribble that put some defenders into a blender. Hit a step back three n 1vs1 that was James Harden esk you could say.     Brice did alot of good things at camp but truly shined in the 5vs5 live game action. Hitting several deep and contested threes, even nocking down a few pull-up transition three's. Very long and athletic player showcasing a few dunks and grabbing rebounds or tipping them to teammates. Brice did a nice job of starting the transition game for his team and either scoring himself or hitting open teammates for open looks.     Very good athlete with good size and strength, is able to play multiple positions on offense and allows him to guard all spots 1-4 on defense. Was feeling it on day two of camp shooting the ball and his teammates kept feeding him. Hit more then a few open and contested shots. Used his bigger body very well once he got by his defender to score baskets. Rebounds very well for his size and was able to start the fast break immediately leading to open shots/layups or easy buckets.
