As the live periods continue and college coaches spend more time evaluating talent across Virginia, several prospects appear poised to make significant jumps in the coming months. Rankings are always fluid, and while plenty of players have already received recognition, there are still a handful of prospects who seem undervalued based on their production, impact on winning, and overall body of work.

These are four players who could see their stock rise substantially before the summer comes to a close.

If we're talking about players who are currently under-ranked, Chris Lamm deserves to be near the top of the conversation.

The Benedictine standout put together one of the most complete seasons of any guard in Virginia. He led the Cadets in scoring, assists, and steals while also finishing among the team's leaders in rebounding. More importantly, he impacted winning at an extremely high level every night.

Lamm possesses everything coaches look for in a lead guard. He handles pressure with ease, controls tempo, gets teammates involved, and rarely makes mistakes with the basketball. In a basketball world where many guards are focused on getting their own numbers, Lamm consistently makes the right play.

His ability to create advantages is what separates him from many of his peers. Whether he's attacking off ball screens, getting downhill, or finding open teammates, he constantly puts defenses in difficult situations. He's also one of the better ball handlers in Virginia and has a unique ability to get defenders off balance while staying under control.

What makes his season even more impressive is that his success has translated directly to winning. Lamm has been a major catalyst for Team Loaded Gold's undefeated run this spring, helping lead one of the top teams on the Adidas 3SSB Gold circuit. Every time Team Loaded has needed a big possession, a steady hand, or a leadership presence, Lamm has delivered.

As college coaches continue evaluating guards throughout the summer, don't be surprised if his ranking sees a significant jump. Few point guards in Virginia have been as productive or as consistent.

Tyson Harper continues to be one of the most overlooked guards in the state.

The Kings Fork standout has been a major reason behind Team Loaded 757's success this spring, and every time he steps on the floor he seems to find a way to impact the game. While many know him as an elite shooter, his overall game has continued to evolve.

Harper is capable of completely changing a game with his shooting ability. Defenders simply cannot leave him open, as he's one of the best perimeter shooters in the 757. However, what has impressed evaluators this spring is how much more complete his offensive game has become.

He's developed into a strong downhill attacker who uses changes of speed and pace effectively to create separation. Once he gets a defender off balance, he's able to either finish at the rim or create opportunities for teammates.

On the defensive side, Harper brings an edge that coaches love. He competes hard, applies pressure, and consistently makes life difficult for opposing guards. His motor and competitive nature show up every game.

The fact that he's already earned an official visit to Regent University speaks to the respect he has gained from college programs. With another strong summer and what should be a breakout senior season at Kings Fork, expect his recruitment and ranking to continue trending upward.

Every successful team needs players willing to embrace physicality, defend, rebound, and do the dirty work. Pierce Rempe has built his reputation around exactly that.

The Atlee High School product has quietly become one of the more productive forwards in the Richmond area and has played a significant role in Team Richmond HGSL's success this spring.

At first glance, Rempe's physical frame immediately stands out. He's strong, tough, and plays with a relentless motor. Opposing teams often struggle to match his physicality over the course of a game.

His impact starts on the glass, where he consistently rebounds at a high level on both ends of the floor. He understands positioning, boxes out effectively, and rarely loses battles around the basket.

Defensively, he's a dependable post defender who embraces difficult assignments and does a great job protecting the paint. Offensively, he runs the floor well, establishes deep position, and finishes efficiently around the rim.

While flashy highlights often dominate recruiting conversations, coaches at the next level understand the value of players like Rempe. His toughness, consistency, and willingness to do whatever his team needs make him the type of prospect that college coaches, particularly at the Division III level, should have firmly on their radar.

Simply put, Colton Davis is one of the best shooters in Virginia's 2027 class, and his ranking doesn't fully reflect that.

The Liberty Christian Academy guard has been on an absolute tear this spring while playing for Hill City Crash, consistently producing against quality competition and showing why he's one of the more dangerous scorers in the state.

Davis has a natural ability to score the basketball. He can knock down shots from well beyond the three-point line, create his own offense, and heat up quickly. Once he sees a couple shots go through the net, he becomes incredibly difficult to slow down.

What makes his situation particularly intriguing is the opportunity he'll have next season at Liberty Christian. With Tre Smith transferring and several other impactful players graduating, there will be plenty of opportunities available for Davis to step into a larger role.

Given his scoring ability and confidence, it would not be surprising to see him become one of the primary offensive options for LCA. The increased responsibility should allow him to showcase even more of his game while continuing to build momentum with college programs.

The recent official visit to Roanoke College is another indication that coaches are beginning to take notice. If he continues shooting the ball at the level he has this summer, more schools are likely to follow.

Final Thoughts

Every year there are players who outperform their ranking, and these four prospects appear well positioned to do exactly that. Chris Lamm continues to prove he's one of Virginia's premier point guards. Tyson Harper remains one of the most dangerous shooters in the 757. Pierce Rempe impacts winning with toughness and consistency. Colton Davis continues to establish himself as one of the top scorers in the 2027 class.

As the summer moves forward and coaches spend more time evaluating talent, expect these names to continue generating attention throughout Virginia's recruiting landscape.
