Expert Analysis
Riley Highfill | Prep Hoops Scout
Chris was one of the top point guards at the event showing his playmaking ability, leadership skills, and scoring abilities from multiple levels. He always seems to do a good job reading ball screens effectively to get to his spots or to create for others. Chris does an excellent job of getting 2 feet in the paint, causing easy opportunities for himself and others. He had a lot of big-time plays on the weekend, having multiple Division 3 programs and a Division 1 Juco expressing tons of interest after the event. Chris is a fearless competitor and major leader for the Team Loaded Gold group who went 3-0 on the day and improved to 28-0 on the season.

is the ideal Point Guard prospect, as he can score in a variety of ways and is also a very good floor general. Chris competes at a high level on both sides of the ball and has a knack for getting steals on and off the ball. What is most intriguing about his game is his ability to get downhill to create for others. What college coaches look for in a point guard, he fits the bill, in his ability to score when needed, but also is an excellent playmaker. I have been really impressed with his ability to utilize ball screens and hold his defender on his back when attacking the rim. He will be Benedictine’s primary option once again this year, as he’s one of the group’s veteran leaders.

has been one of the biggest reasons behind
Team Loaded Gold
‘s dominant 25-0 season and remains one of the most underrated guards in Virginia regardless of class.
The Benedictine standout is the definition of a winning point guard. He possesses one of the tightest handles in the state, sees the floor at a high level, and consistently makes the right play. Lamm excels at controlling tempo, creating opportunities for teammates, and getting to his spots offensively when his team needs a basket.
What makes him special is his efficiency. He rarely turns the ball over and impacts the game in multiple ways every time he steps on the floor. Defensively, he competes with intensity and takes pride in making life difficult for opposing guards.
After leading Benedictine in scoring, assists, and steals during the high school season, Lamm has carried that momentum into the AAU circuit. Expect him to be one of the top overall performers and one of the most heavily evaluated guards at the Highfill Hoops Invitational this weekend.

If we’re talking about players who are currently under-ranked, Chris Lamm deserves to be near the top of the conversation.
The Benedictine standout put together one of the most complete seasons of any guard in Virginia. He led the Cadets in scoring, assists, and steals while also finishing among the team’s leaders in rebounding. More importantly, he impacted winning at an extremely high level every night.
Lamm possesses everything coaches look for in a lead guard. He handles pressure with ease, controls tempo, gets teammates involved, and rarely makes mistakes with the basketball. In a basketball world where many guards are focused on getting their own numbers, Lamm consistently makes the right play.
His ability to create advantages is what separates him from many of his peers. Whether he’s attacking off ball screens, getting downhill, or finding open teammates, he constantly puts defenses in difficult situations. He’s also one of the better ball handlers in Virginia and has a unique ability to get defenders off balance while staying under control.
What makes his season even more impressive is that his success has translated directly to winning. Lamm has been a major catalyst for Team Loaded Gold’s undefeated run this spring, helping lead one of the top teams on the Adidas 3SSB Gold circuit. Every time Team Loaded has needed a big possession, a steady hand, or a leadership presence, Lamm has delivered.
As college coaches continue evaluating guards throughout the summer, don’t be surprised if his ranking sees a significant jump. Few point guards in Virginia have been as productive or as consistent.

Chris Lamm continues doing what true point guards are supposed to do: control the game.
While his stat line may not always jump off the page first, his impact certainly does. Lamm kept Team Loaded organized, dictated pace, and made winning plays throughout the weekend. His ability to create for teammates while staying aggressive offensively makes him one of the more dependable lead guards in the region.
He plays with poise and never seems sped up. Lamm consistently got into the paint, made smart reads, and set the tone defensively. As Team Loaded continued stacking wins, his leadership remained one of the biggest reasons why.

Lamm was the engine that kept everything organized. The 6’0 point guard controlled tempo, got into the paint at will, and consistently made the right reads. He finished with 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists while shooting an efficient 4-of-5 from the field. Beyond the numbers, his leadership and ability to settle the group during key stretches stood out. His two-man game with Schrinel continues to be one of the more reliable actions for this group.

Lamm was the tone-setter in the backcourt and arguably the X-factor for this group. He consistently got downhill, created separation, and made plays for others. His ability to control pace and get into the midrange made him tough to guard all weekend. Despite his size, he competed at a high level defensively and helped keep the offense organized. His leadership and playmaking were key in the 4-0 run. One of his key performances was against Team Tradition (Indiana) 3SSB Gold. He recorded 17 Points (7-9 FG, 2-2 FT), 7 assists, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals.
