Several 2029 prospects used the Romeoville Pre-Live event as an opportunity to elevate their recruitment and showcase their development heading into the upcoming live period weekend. Here are a few players who stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='3472220' first='Ryan' last='Whitt'] – Phillips

Whitt was a workhorse inside, constantly bullying opponents for buckets in the paint. The well-built sophomore-to-be rebounded at a high clip and used his mobile 6'4" frame to initiate contact before looking to score. He moves incredibly well for his size and build, and he showed off a very underrated passing ability for his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2964015' first='Kumasi' last='Jones'] – Phillips

As Jones continues to figure out his role at Phillips, he proved he is absolutely slick with the rock. The slippery 6'2 guard finished well through traffic and displayed great balance when absorbing bumps on his way to the rim. He made some heady plays as a playmaker, though he is still finding the sweet spot between when to score and when to dish.

[player_tooltip player_id='3472215' first='Zahari' last='Threatt'] – De La Salle

Threatt is a 6'7" gazelle on the court. He runs the floor hard and often follows up missed shots with emphatic tip-ins or dunks. What makes him so promising is his work ethic and non-stop motor—even when he makes a mistake, you rarely notice because he just keeps playing. Furthermore, Threatt can beat opposing bigs off the dribble if they try to cover him on the perimeter, utilizing his skill and nimble feet to make plays off the bounce. A player with much upside going into his second season.

Logan Redditt – Plainfield East

A lightning-quick guard, Redditt showed impressive versatility as both a scorer and a passer. He consistently got to his spots utilizing an explosive first step. He flashed his deep range by draining in a triple off the dribble, then followed it up on the next possession with a tough finish in the paint over taller defenders.

[player_tooltip player_id='2767906' first='Ronald' last='Johnson'] – Mt. Carmel

A physical 6'3" guard, Johnson plays with a calm, composed demeanor while picking his spots exceptionally well. He is an excellent rebounder out of the guard slot who plays with a fierce competitive fire. He frequently snatches defensive boards and instantly pushes the pace on the fastbreak. Alongside his teammate [player_tooltip player_id='2915584' first='DK' last='Heard'], Johnson is considered one of the top players in his class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2915584' first='DK' last='Heard'] – Mt. Carmel

Heard uses his 6'5" frame perfectly to absorb and finish through contact inside. Defensively, he provided swarming pressure while picking up opponents full-court. An athletic, twitchy gaurd, Heard can get hot in a hurry and plays extremely hard on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] – Geneva

Udoiwod shot the ball very well while playing primarily off the ball during evaluation. He looks highly skilled and is doing a great job adjusting to his new role as the third guard for a talented Geneva squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='2369872' first='Cody' last='Rader'] – Geneva

Rader is a talented passer who excels at reading the court and playing with excellent pace. He is dangerous in the half-court because he knocks down shots with consistency. Crafty off the bounce, Cody usually looks to get his teammates involved before hunting his own shot.Several 2029 prospects used the Romeoville Pre-Live event as an opportunity to elevate their recruitment and showcase their development heading into the upcoming live period weekend.
