Oregon Summer League: 2029 Watchlist Prospects To Track

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Oregon Summer league has tipped off and is in full session. 16 teams from around the Northwest Illinois area compete on Tuesday nights consisting of many conferences being represented. I was able to catch a glimpse of half of those teams this week. Played a lot of minutes and provided value for the Strom as a true freshman this past season. Continued to showcase his shooting skills on Tuesday night during league play. Tallied him for a handful of 3's in an efficient manner. Precision off of catch and shoot action was pure. Liked the way he attacked downhill off outlets to put defense on heels for pitch aheads and break point opportunities. Will go into jab steps or pump fakes to get defender to give space then make a smart read. Will provide valuable minutes for EP as a Souphmore this upcoming season and rightfully so. Makes necessary reads in the ½ court setting. Attacked with balance and poise while sharing it for drop offs beneath once drawing extra help. Squares defender up on perimeter after catch to see floor and then go. Comfortable spotting up from 3 land. Liked his patience and then getting a step after seeing the angle or slight opening was there to drive it. Collected varsity minutes as true freshman on a young Dukes squad. Defensively popped with ability to stick on handler and create turnovers. Tallied him for at least 3 pick pocket steals in team's second game of evening. Knack for defending. Will challenge at rim and in paint with wingspan as well. Offensively has more finesse to game. Fade-a-way 17 footer and euro step in traffic take coast to coast were fair game. Started as a true freshman for a young Warriors squad. The competition he faced has continued to elevate his game. Possesses clean dribbles with some craftiness to handle. Eyes are peeled to see the floor going full speed on break as well is in half court while he's in attack mode. Can score it form inside and out. Hit a tough 3 for and1 and also converted on a couple finishes at the cup.
