With another rankings update comes another group of prospects making a strong case for a higher spot on the board. Whether it was consistent production throughout the spring, standout performances on the travel circuit, or continued physical and skill development, these 2028 prospects have built momentum heading into the summer months. As more evaluations rolled in from events across the region, these prospects put together the type of spring that warranted a move up the board.

Leading off the list of Stock Risers in the June Rankings Update is [player_tooltip player_id='2624989' first='Christopher' last='McClenic']. McClenic showed some really good things over the back half of the spring, including some big games on the NXT PRO circuit and a few standout performances at Phenom Hoops events. When I saw him, the flashes were always evident, it's just about the consistency and motor for him to reach his ceiling.

Makhi is another forward/wing to know in the top half of South Carolina's 2028 Class. Tyler received his first offer from Benedict College in April and has had a decent AAU season so far with Upward Stars. He has mostly been a big option off the bench, helping protect the rim and control the glass, but Makhi also has some untapped potential with his handle and shooting.

The biggest stock riser in the June Rankings Update is [player_tooltip player_id='2883308' first='Zavion' last='Anthony']. Anthony is the type of Point Guard you want to build your team around; he is a vocal leader, sets up his teammates for success, and plays hard on both ends of the floor. Despite not having a ton of varsity experience, Zavion is still one of the smartest players in his class and will only get better and more polished as he gets more minutes.

Continuing on a run of Point Guards in the 20s, Eric makes a big jump up from #50 to #24. He is one of the best Point Guards in the state right now, averaging 3.1 assists per game at West Ashley in his sophomore season and now at 3.1 assists per game through 8 EYCL games with Middleton Hoops. Jenkins is a creative passer and ball-handler, but he's also showing good signs of improvement as a shooter.

He still might be under-the-radar from a state-wide perspective, but Noah is certainly one of the best guards in the rising junior class. Dodd is a well-rounded offensive weapon because he can play off-the-ball and knock down threes, or he can have the ball in his hands and create off the dribble. Noah also has some decent size, a strong frame, and bounce to create advantages physically.

Lucy Beckham and Middleton Hoops' [player_tooltip player_id='2534819' first='Hatch' last='Kelly'] checks in at #59 this time around. Hatch was a solid piece for MHE in the first half of the season, chipping in with 5.3 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 1.9 stocks per game. Offensively, he looks to slash to the rim and will chip in with second-chance points, while defensively, he will always be active in the paint and in passing lanes.

It was great to see Fuller back on the floor this spring after missing some time in the winter with an injury. He hasn't lost a step at all, and he continues to be one of the most explosive athletes in South Carolina's 2028 class. Satrel is at his best when he can use that quickness and athleticism to attack the paint, both in the half-court and in transition.

He's been a frequent standout with [program_tooltip program_id='2078521' first='Palmetto' last='City Hurricanes'] this spring, impressing with his ability to score at all three levels. Samarion has also grown a few inches, with him now being listed at 6'3", which gives him even more of an advantage on the offensive end of the floor.

Fresh off another strong spring showing at UA Grind Greenville, [player_tooltip player_id='3300670' first='Andre' last='Seay'] rounds off this list of 2028 Stock Risers. He is a true Point Guard who has shown great progression during the AAU season, impressing with his ability to defend, score in the paint, and create looks for others. It will be interesting to see how Andre fits in at Seneca in June, because they are certainly one of the top contenders in 4A on paper.
