A kid that got the majority of his run on JV last season, [player_tooltip player_id='3669480' first='Khamarion' last='Johnson'] was an instant impact as soon as he stepped onto the floor Evansville Bosse on Thursday. He's a tough, defensive minded guard that gets up into the opposing guards. Offensively he came in aggressive looking to get downhill and make plays for his team. Showed a craftiness to his finishing while also displaying nice court vision and an unselfishness to not force shots and find the open man when the help defense came.

One of two 2030 prospects to get run with the Evansville Memorial Tigers on Thursday. [player_tooltip player_id='3664530' first='Quentin' last='Glisson'] showed that he was ready for varsity basketball. Extremely quick guard that I thought played within himself. His play didn't come without some mistakes, but he stayed aggressive and had a strong game impacting without having to score. He's a talented offensive player that even though he didn't hit one yesterday, he can really get going from three. Loved his patience on the offensive end and taking what the defense game him.

This was the first time for me getting to see the 2028 transfer to Evansville Reitz from Forest Park. [player_tooltip player_id='3669493' first='Trey' last='VanWinkle'] is an athletic wing/forward that makes plays with his energy and effort. A bit raw offensively, but is an active cutter that uses his size and length to finish plays at the rim. He's a versatile defender that flies around the court and is a solid rebounder. Thrives in transition where he makes athletic plays above the rim. Intriguing piece for an Evansville Reitz program that could make some noice in the city.

An incoming sophomore That got basically all his minutes on the JV got the start in the game I saw on Thursday at the Evansville Bosse Big Dawg Battle. [player_tooltip player_id='3142216' first='Hudson' last='Neidigh'] is noticeably taller from last season and played extremely well for the Vikings. A mobile forward that impacted the game in ways that may not necessarily show up on the stat sheet. Excellent defender that always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Rebounded well and runs the floor. Good screen setter and showed good hands on basket cuts. Has a chance to be a vital piece for the Vikings in their run at another state title.

A somewhat anticipated debut for Tecumseh with the return of the Lubbehusen brothers moving back from Heritage Hills, 2030 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='3621926' first='Gaige' last='Lubbehusen'] look really comfortable in his first minutes as a varsity contributor. He's a highly skilled guard let the game come to him, but played with an aggressive mindset on the offensive end taking his open shots without hesitation and never let the ball stick to him. Will need to add strength, but competed on every possession and looked the part as an immediate impact guy off the bench for the Braves this season.

Possibly the most impactful new face I saw on Thursday was 6'4” 2027 Wing/Forward [player_tooltip player_id='3669492' first='Gavin' last='Wright'] of Princeton. A fluid athlete that showed versatility on both ends. Lengthy defender that did a good job staying in a stance and containing his matchup. Solid rebounder that showed the ability to rip and run and push in transition. Showed a smooth catch and shoot jumper on the perimeter knocking down multiple 3's in the Tigers win. Was injured at the end of last season, so the senior-to-be is looking to have a good season and be an key piece for Princeton this upcoming season.
