The 21st annual IHSAA/IBCA Charlie Hughes Memorial Showcase tipped off on Friday. There are 210 teams competing across over 350 games between Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and Sunday evening at 5:00 p.m. Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground coverage the entire way from the opening tip until the final buzzer. Only 17 teams went 4-0 on the weekend with six more finishing 3-0 due to losing a game on Saturday morning with the power outage at Westfield High School. Here are the Class 1A and 2A programs that had a perfect weekend in the win column.

Alexandria Tigers

Following a 15-win season, the Tigers return their top four scorers from last year. That is a very good starting point. Bryson Eckler is the top returning scorer having averaged 12.5 points per game. Rising junior guard Cam McAtee averaged 11.7 points and 3.3 assists per game while [player_tooltip player_id='2140086' first='Conner' last='Kettery'] and Jackson Brizendine were each just shy of double-figures.

Waldron Mohawks

Waldron went 16-8 last season before losing to Tri, another team on this list, in the Sectional. Their top six scorers from a year ago return led by rising junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2560363' first='Eli' last='Stewart'], rising senior wing Ethan Moody, and rising sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='3563239' first='Caige' last='Sheaffer']. Stewart led the Mohawks in scoring, rebounds, and assists with 13.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.

West Washington Senators

Prior to the Charlie Hughes Showcase we identified West Washington as a Top 10 team in Class 1A for the coming season. The Senators won a Sectional last season and lost to the eventual state champions, Barr-Reeve, by just two points in the Regional. Rising senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140372' first='Holden' last='Russell'] leads a talented group of returning veterans including Nash Ables, Tristan Brown, and Neven Marrs.

Westview Warriors

Fresh off of a trip to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Westview should be hungry to make their return after losing at the buzzer to Parke Heritage. Indiana Junior All-Star [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach'] brings back 19.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. [player_tooltip player_id='2888376' first='Bryce' last='Yoder'], Daniel Yoder, and Pierce Yoder will all be major pieces once again for Westview.
