Coming off a junior year in which he averaged 10.3 points and shot 43% from the 3-point line off the bench, Smith looks like he'll be an even bigger part of the potent Marquette Catholic attack in his senior year. One of the state's elite shooting threats, especially at the small-school level, he's oozing with confidence both off the dribble and the catch, has a quick release, and moves exceptionally well without the ball in his hands. He's capable of attacking off the bounce and creating looks for himself and his teammates as well, but his biggest strength is without a doubt his ability to shoot it from anywhere inside halfcourt. He was electric in the Defenders' win over Hudson.

An intelligent lead guard who excels in ball screen actions, Wedewer was really good in the half that we saw Wahlert play against Waterloo East. He's dynamic with the ball in his hands, capable of scoring from all three levels as well as setting his teammates up with his high-level vision and creativity as a passer. He's a vocal leader on both ends of the floor, a scrappy on-ball defender who moves his feet well, and is a really good all-around player on the offensive end. Coming off a really good junior year, he looks primed to explode as a senior for a Golden Eagles team that will be amongst the best in 3A.

North does a great job playing with pace. He doesn't get sped up and does a nice job utilizing subtle head and ball fakes to temporarily freeze the defender and allow him to blow by and get to his desired spots. He has good size as a lead guard, listed at 6-3, with probably around a 6-5/6-6 wingspan, and he's able to cover a lot of ground on both ends of the floor with his long strides and length. He showed high-level footwork around the rim on his drives, sees the floor well, and is a capable 3-point shooting threat.

We pretty much know what to expect when we see Bean play, and that's exactly what he was against Davenport West in a blowout win - steady, consistent, tough as nails, and contributing across the board. A strong guard who handles it well and does a great job setting his teammates up, he's also capable of using that physicality to his advantage and getting to the rim off the bounce. He's a really good defender, especially on the ball, where he makes opposing ball-handlers work hard to get anything going. He has great body control around the rim and is a solid finisher through contact, can step out and stretch the floor off the dribble and the catch, and he'll contribute in a big way on the glass on either end.

Tanny is Mr. Versatility, impacting the game in a major way on both ends of the floor on seemingly every possession. He has the length and athleticism to defend one through five at this level without getting lost, and offensively he's capable of doing just about anything. He's really good around the rim, finishing through contact and pounding the offensive glass. He's capable of stepping out and stretching the floor, and he can also attack the rim off the dribble against slower defenders, getting to the bucket or causing the defense to collapse and then finding an open shooter. He's an intelligent, impactful two-way wing.
