Coming off a junior year in which he averaged 10.3 points and shot 43% from the 3-point line off the bench, Smith looks like he’ll be an even bigger part of the potent Marquette Catholic attack in his senior year. One of the state’s elite shooting threats, especially at the small-school level, he’s oozing with confidence both off the dribble and the catch, has a quick release, and moves exceptionally well without the ball in his hands. He’s capable of attacking off the bounce and creating looks for himself and his teammates as well, but his biggest strength is without a doubt his ability to shoot it from anywhere inside halfcourt. He was electric in the Defenders’ win over Hudson.
