The dust has settled on another session of DMV Live and just like S1, there is plenty to unpack from the weekend of action. I shift to the 2027 MD/DC prospects who utilized the S2 platform to boost their stock heading into July.

Minor is a guard whose motor is always running hot. He allows is effort to be felt on the defensive end with his willingness to heat the ball handler up in full court pressure while maintaining disciplined hands in the process. On the offensive side, he's also applying pressure whenever he has the ball. He showed throughout his S2 weekend that you can't forget about him on the perimeter, but as his shot started falling and he demanded aggressive closeouts, the 6-foot combo guard attacked off the bounce and has the ability to stop on a dime and quickly rise up for mid-range shots. The last two games were a scoring clinic for Minor as he went for 32 and 33 respectively, with his better of the two coming in the 33-point outburst where he finished a blistering 13-of-16 from the field and 5-of-7 from deep.

Duran was able to couple a solid S1 weekend with a reminder in S2 of his pure shot making prowess. You'd be hard-pressed to find a prospect in the DMV that shoots a prettier ball with a more compact, fluid set of mechanics than the McNamara product. Whether it was off the catch, on the move or off the dribble, Duran proved to be one of the more dependable shooters this past weekend averaging 15.5PTS, 5.8APG and 3.8RPG while on 48/56/80 shooting splits.

Duran picked up an offer from Robert Morris as a result of his work.

Hopkins has quickly introduced himself to the DMV with Mt. Zion Prep and asserted himself as a tough scoring guard that can handle the pressure of playing up to the competition the area has to offer. A lot of times, it takes outsiders time to adjust to their team, the level of competition and the overall speed/physicality that come in a second nature fashion to teams in the area, but Hopkins has embraced the challenge. He's a quick-twitch guard who can knife his way into driving lanes with burst off the catch or an array of counters operating off the bounce to expose advantages. He embraced contact on his way to the rack and did a nice job of quickly locating teammates as defenses collapsed. Hopkins averaged 15PPG and 3.3APG while earning an offer from UMass Lowell.

Leggett remains under the radar despite his top-50 ranking in our four our 2027 class. His production as a junior on a Glenelg Country team that made a deep run in MIAA A Conference play couldn't be ignored. Furthermore, the role that he's slated to take on as a senior for the Dragons will only support our thinking of him. He's at his best with the ball where he uses his effective change-of-pace attack to keep his defender on their toes. His burst allows him to expose when his man is back on his heels and after he gains an edge, he maintains the advantage with his strong frame and once he gets by the rim, can finish with craft. Defensively he's a threat off the ball where he can use his quick hands to dig on drivers or bigs and cause deflections. Leggett is an underrated athlete in transition as he can flush it home with a clear path for takeoff. He accounted for 13.7PPG and 4RPG in his S2 weekend.

The versatility that Carpenter brings to both end of the floors has certainly caught the attention of college coaches this month. His blend of size and athleticism make for a switchable defender between 3-to-4 positions at the high school level while his offensive skill set is easily translatable as a complementary piece in almost any system. The plus with the 6-foot-6 Swiss army knife comes with his ability to touch different aspects of the box score and when he isn't scoring, it doesn't mean his impact isn't felt. He does his work on the glass, has improved as a playmaker now that he's in a role that allows more freedom off the bounce and can be a disruptor in passing lanes as he reads the ball handler's eyes an displays timely anticipation in causing deflections.

Duncan is a similar archetype to Carpenter above as a hybrid forward with a low-maintenance, highly productive approach. He frequents above the rim finishes in the fashion that demands the gym's attention. Whether it's in an open floor setting or in a designed lob play, Duncan is looking to supply highlights while airborne. He's also valuable on the offensive end without the ball as a cutter, crashes the offensive glass with purpose and can serve as a true connector overall. Over the last year and a half, Duncan has become much more consistent with his effort at both ends and the box score results are following. He typically gets assigned the opposing team's best perimeter threat, especially if that player is at either forward position, but can defend shifty guards effectively in space as well.

Duncan finished S2 averaging 11PPG and 3RPG.

It doesn't take much to start envisioning the ways Olorungbohunmi can translate at the college level when you see his put together frame. The 6-foot-4 southpaw can bring a bigger presence than his listed height due to his athleticism, defensive motor and ability to haul in rebounds like a big. Like a few others included on this list, it's the versatility he can offer toggling between multiple positions provide impact at each spot. He can sure up on his shot selection moving forward, but when he's getting downhill and attacking the rim, there aren't many opposing guards/wings who can withstand the physicality he imposes in the air. PGCA went 6-2 overall in their June weekends at DMV Live S1 & S2 as Olorungbohunmi was a major catalyst for the success.
