Another prospect that I’ve spammed this winter is Leggett, who I believe is still one of the better under the radar names in the area. Good positional size at 6-foot-3 for a Maryland Movement team that isn’t the biggest in the frontcourt. With that, he’ll be expected to touch every category on the box score and be a presence on the glass specifically. He showed this high school season that he’s capable of doing so and shouldering his team against high-level competition. His herky jerky approach with the ball combined with his size when he’s around the rim or pulling up off the bounce makes it difficult for majority of defenders. He’ll be the bell cow for this MD Movement group this year and coaches should monitor him closely.

Leggett was already a main piece to the Glenelg Country puzzle, but I’m including him for the sake of claiming his ability to step in as the alpha for his senior season. He somewhat quietly carried the torch as a junior carrying the scoring load in marquee games this season for head coach Garrett O’Donnell and with that should come confidence and momentum in 2026-27. A well-rounded scoring guard who can do his damage from all three levels of the floor, it’ll be interesting to see how Leggett expands his game and becomes even more of an effective bucket-getter, but also how he adjusts when opposing teams have him at the top of their scouting reports.

In my opinion, Leggett had an argument as being one of the most underrated players in the MIAA this season. Time and time again, he answered the call as the primary playmaker for the Dragons in marquee wins that. He brings a great blend of positional size, ability to play on or off the ball and athleticism that can catch you by surprise when he takes off and finishes with power above the rim. He’s a well-rounded scoring threat who can do it off the catch from three, use his herky jerky approach off the bounce to create angles/space for himself and also maintain good court vision on drives to the rim for last second dump-offs or spray outs. I expect Leggett to be one of the premier names that pop out to folks next season, but he’s been on my radar heavily since early December. The massive move from No. 160 to No. 48 was warranted.

An obvious stock-riser in the next 2027 update, Leggett has emerged as the dependable lead guard for Garrett O’Donnell’s group this season and once again came up big in their quarterfinal win on the road against John Carroll. The 6-foot-3 junior poured in a game-high 19 points while playing a balanced role of on and off the ball. His ability to expose driving lanes and use long step throughs in the smallest of gaps helps create unique angles for scoring opportunities, but he also made his defender pay for any space on the catch as he buried three triples. Leggett leads the Dragons to Mt. Carmel for a semifinal matchup on Thursday evening.

-Leggett is beginning to pick his spots in the halfcourt to get into gaps in the defense to force back line rotations that free up teammates for easy looks. He started things off with a wing C+S 3, showed the awareness to drive baseline from the corner to the rim to hit the extension lay from an awkward finishing angle just before the shot clock buzzer, and sought out contact in transition with the bully ball bump, spin, and layup off the window through the contact. His defensive positioning off the ball continues to improve with each viewing and he’s set to make a big leap next season with several key backcourt pieces graduating this spring.

Another viewing and another performance from Leggett that left a big impression on me. First came as he led GC to a win over St. Frances down on Chase Street a few weeks ago and for awhile in this one, he had the Dragons in control. He’s not going to ‘wow’ you with blazing quickness, unbelievable athleticism or even functional fluidity, but the kids gets stuff done. Unfortunately with a few minutes left in the game, Leggett came down awkwardly on his ankle and he had to be assisted off the floor, but that wasn’t until he scored a team-high 24 points. He’s a tough check because of his herky jerky attack where he never seems to look on balance, but is fully capable of pulling the trigger midway through a dribble and burying a three. He does a really nice job of using his strong frame on drives to create contact and separation before getting to the rim and if he puts his defender in a fouling situation, he’s very efficient at the charity stripe. Leggett put his hardhat on when it came to hauling in rebounds next to Harris and continues to be the leader for this Glenelg Country team.

Kayden brings some flare and high volume to Glenelg this season. He has a plethora of moves that he is looking to get into once he gets the ball in his hands. Nice handle on the rock, rarely allows the defense to disrupt where he wants to go. Kayden seems comfortable scoring anywhere on the floor, operates from either wing and can get to the cup with either hand. High potential for Leggett if he can become more efficient with a little less volume.
