Every June we see prospects take their recruitments to new heights over night. While the recruiting landscape is in a different place in comparison to 2-to-3 years ago, there are still programs that covet high school recruits and will be looking to establish priorities for the remainder of the summer and build relationships that result in official fall visits.

These are the names of non-DMV 2027 prospect who I believe have a chance of boosting their stock with big showings.

Khaliel Walters | 2027 | NC Good Better Best

I think the stage that the Scholastic Live Period offers particularly at DMV Live will be a great state for Walters to introduce himself to Division I programs. Standing 6'6" Walters has shown rapid improvement with his playmaking prowess off the dribble. He's always had the athleticism that allows for frequent above the rim finishes, but the in-between game has been something that has made him more dynamic and a mismatch nightmare. Playing on the UA Rise Circuit with No Guts No Glory, he's been hiding under the radar, but with a big weekend at DeMatha, that picture could change overnight.

[player_tooltip player_id='2614836' first='Victor' last='Aborowa'] | 2027 | AOA

Other than Walters, I think Aborowa is the safest best for a non-DMV prospect to explode this weekend. The 6'8" two-way wing has made drastic strides in his development over the last year, but the upside still remains extremely intriguing. He's athletic and no stranger to violent finishes around the rim. He doesn't need to dribble the ball out of the air to make his impact. In fact. he has great instincts as a timely cutter and does his work early getting out in transition with his first couple of steps to establish an advantage. His defensive versatility and potential as a shot-altering presence around the rim all while being able to guard any position on the floor is something that college programs will be attracted to.

[player_tooltip player_id='2867810' first='Henry' last='Fox'] | 2027 | Western Reserve

Fox catches your attention based off the fact that he's 6'9" with the ability to stretch the floor. This Western Reserve team will feature a few new faces who will make up a large part of their rotations so the cohesion may be a work in progress, but having a guy like Fox who can provide floor spacing and decision-making off the catch will help provide fluidity within the offense. If he can show to be a consistent presence on the glass and convert from range with efficiency, it wouldn't surprise me to see an uptick of schools become involved.

[player_tooltip player_id='2614834' first='Dante' last='Otite'] | 2027 | AOA

Another member of this AOA team who I think will drastically help himself this weekend is Otite. Standing 6'9"-6'10" he has a strong frame that's packed with power and athleticism. There's a body of work where Otite has exhibited soft touch with his jumper, but he's going to catch most eyes with his willingness to run the floor with purpose as guards sky lobs for the big fella to go slam home. He can get his chin on the rim and is always looking to time offensive put back opportunities with good timing. His ability to command the paint defensively and prove himself as a competent defender in ball screens or in space will only help his case for a rise.

Ajani Stewart | 2027 | Westtown

Stewart has the prototypical frame that you'd want in a two-guard at 6'4"-6'5" with broad shoulders, plus length and athletic fluidity. He has a well-rounded offensive skillset makes him a threat from all three levels playing within the flow. He can use his long strides to get into the paint and his ability to extend around the rim creates the necessary angles to finish or force defenders to give up a foul. When he's facing smaller guards, he can operate from the mid-post and use his size to exploit the advantage. He's a solid team defender who is vocal and can rebound at a plus rate for his position.

Every June we see prospects take their recruitments to new heights over night. While the recruiting landscape is in a different place in comparison to 2-to-3 years ago, there are still programs that covet high school recruits and will be looking to establish priorities for the remainder of the summer and build relationships that result in official fall visits.
