June is a good time for some housekeeping. It isn't that the schedule isn't busy, in fact this is the busy time of year in a lot of ways. However, as prospects reconvene with their high school teams for a scholastic period of competition it serves as the unofficial transition from spring to summer. Last week we released our Class of 2029 Top 25 Rankings as well as an updated and expanded Watch List. Then, on Monday evening, we updated and expanded our Class of 2028 Rankings to include a Top 100. As always, we will spend the week highlighting stock-risers, new names, and diving deeper into the rankings update. Here are some of the top stock-risers from this spring in Indiana's Class of 2028.

This 6'3" guard from Hamilton Southeastern High School has always been very highly regarded by us at Prep Hoops Indiana. We first identified him as a standout at our Freshman Showcase, he played his way into a starting role as a freshman for the Royals, and then was excellent as a sophomore. However, he has taken his game to another level this spring. We expect Division I programs to start really focusing on him in the summer. Clark makes his debut inside the Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Top 10 at #7 overall.

There has never been a question as to whether or not DeRossett was one of the most talented prospects in Indiana's Class of 2028. However, the 6'5" left-handed shooter really settled in as a sophomore at Fort Wayne Snider and has continued his strong play into the spring on the 3SSB Circuit with Phenom United. HIs perimeter size, athleticism, and shooting ability makes him a very intriguing prospect. DeRossett jumped nearly 20 spots in our rankings to #16 overall.

Gilpin had the breakout sophomore season at many expected him to have. The athletic 6'3" guard averaged 15.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game while shooting 54-131 (41.2%) from three-point range for South Ripley High School. He has had a strong spring as well helping lead his team to qualify for the 3SSB Championships in Rock Hill, South Carolina in July. Gilpin is now ranked #50 in our Prep Hoops Indiana Class of 2028 Prospect Rankings.

Hudson has been a consistent top performer this spring for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 16u on the Pro16 Circuit proving that he is one of the more talented pure scorers and shot-makers in the class. He has had two excellent seasons already at Eastern Greene High School, but now is proving it at a higher level through the spring. The 6'1" guard averaged 15.0 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game as a sophomore while shooting 61-149 (40.9%) from three-point range.

The physical tools standout right away when you watch Jackson play. He has always been able to dominate his peers with physicality and punish them around the basket. However, the 6'5" wing is starting to showcase some more finesse and perimeter skill to pair with his physical tools. Jackson has had a good spring with Meanstreets on the EYBL Circuit knocking down some catch-and-shoot 3's, rebounding well at his position, and continue to produce consistently. He made a significant jump up to #22 overall in our prospect rankings.

Magsamen has started to show himself to be one of the more polished interior threats in Indiana's Class of 2028. The Noblesville High School rising junior has had an excellent spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2847679' first='Refined' last='Indiana'] turning in some monster double-doubles for them. He can go get rebounds outside of his area and is mobile enough offensively to cause some difficult matchups for other 4's and 5's. Magsamen jumped from our Watch List to #37 overall in the Class of 2028.

Simply being able to put the ball in the basket is one of the most important skills you can have. Few guards in Indiana's Class of 2028 do that as well as this rising junior at Bellmont High School. Selling averaged 22.1 points per game as a sophomore while making an impressive 87 three-point shots. That shooting, and all-around scoring ability, helped the 6'0" guard climb from the Watch List to #43 overall.

One of our personal favorite prospects in the Class of 2028, we've been stock buyers of Smith's for a while now. He has cashed some of that in over the course of the spring while playing with Progeny 16u on the UAA Circuit. His size and length in the backcourt is what is very projectable. Smith has legitimate point guard skills as a ball handler and passer, but does so with a 6'5" frame and long arms. The playmaking ability at his size helped lift his ranking to #26 overall in the Class of 2028.
