As I continue to recap the live period, there were several regional players who truly won the weekend with their play. Not only did they produce, but they also consistently controlled the action while grabbing the attention of college coaches in the process. I'll take a deeper dive into the film, breaking down exactly what each player did to generate success, why their performances stood out, and how those showings could set them up for an even bigger summer than originally expected.

I'm not sure there was a player in the region who had a better weekend than Woehrmann. As expected, he blew up in Memphis, scoring the ball at an extremely high rate while cutting up defenses in the process. His outside shooting never seemed to cool off, as he knocked down a barrage of long-range threes throughout the weekend, opening up everything else for him offensively. Whether it was playing off the catch or creating space off the dribble, he consistently found just enough room to get his shot off. He gets his feet set quickly and shows no hesitation with his release. Emery's ability to attack the rim off aggressive closeouts also created quality scoring chances, as he finished around bigger defenders and through multiple bodies. Beyond the scoring, he showed value as a passer and defender, continuing to make a case as a legitimate two-way guard. With the way he played this weekend, he should have multiple offers on the way.

Slowly trending under the radar this spring, it was Simpson's play over the weekend in Dallas that should push him further into the spotlight. Kyrese flashed a knack for making plays, especially when creating off the dribble. He uses a quick start-and-stop pace along with strong body control to consistently create space and get into the painted area. He also has underrated speed in the open court and can push the pace from end to end while navigating both the floor and the defense. Kyrese is a tough finisher who showed the ability to score with either hand at the rim while also finding success in the in-between game with a collection of floaters and touch shots. More than anything, he plays selflessly. He pushes the ball ahead in transition, plays off his teammates effectively, and impacts the game as both a passer and a timely catch-and-shoot threat. You should continue to hear from Kyrese in a big way this summer.

Daugherty put together another strong weekend — this time in front of a multitude of college coaches — and continued to show just how valuable he can be for a program at the next level. Keller remains one of the most versatile bigger bodies in the region. He can score the ball, defend multiple positions, and rebound at a high level. Kansas City served as the latest example of the offensive upside Daugherty continues to flash, creating both interest and intrigue with the way he produced throughout the weekend. Spending the majority of his time operating on the perimeter, he consistently took defenders off the bounce and finished at the rim, whether it was with touch and finesse or by rising up and finishing with power. His shooting also continued to stand out, as he knocked down shots from deep and stretched the floor while forcing defenses to adjust to multiple matchups. While he already holds a number of Division I offers, performances like this make you wonder why there aren't even more programs involved. If he continues trending in this direction, it wouldn't be surprising to see Power Four programs come calling very soon.

Toure was another big winner over the weekend, picking up an offer from Missouri after an impressive showing in Dallas. His athleticism, combined with his size and shot-making ability, separates him from many other guards both regionally and nationally. His shooting from the mid-range and behind the arc continues to be a major difference-maker. He consistently knocks down shots while putting pressure on primary defenders, which in turn opens up driving lanes and creates additional opportunities offensively. Once he gets around the rim, he finishes with authority — whether it's throwing it down or exploding through contact, especially when playing off two feet. Beyond the scoring, his impact defensively and on the glass only adds to his value. With the tools he brings on both ends of the floor, it's easy to see why he's become such a coveted next-level recruit, and he looks poised to continue building momentum throughout the summer.

While I typically wouldn't have an underclassman on this list, Woodard more than proved himself over the weekend in Kansas City. Playing up, he ran the show for VWBA and consistently played with great feel, poise, and anticipation. He made timely plays on both ends of the floor, continuing to show up in critical moments and always seeming to find himself around the basketball. Kenny is more than capable as a scorer, shooting the ball efficiently from deep throughout the weekend while also handling pressure and facilitating for others. He consistently got in and out of gaps and used a crafty change of pace to get downhill and create opportunities. Kenny read defenses well, made the right decisions, and kept teammates involved. Woodard has excellent vision and often sees plays develop before they happen. He's taking full advantage of the opportunity this spring and, with the way he's playing, should continue to gain a head start with coaches throughout the region.

Rooks' run of scoring continued in Tulsa — there just isn't much he can't do offensively. While he's consistently shown the ability to create space and get to his shot seemingly at will, it was his finishing and movement away from the ball that added another layer to his game over the weekend. He found space in and around the basket and used his body well to absorb contact while still creating clean looks. He's also becoming more active in the open floor, putting pressure on defenders and showing he's not shy about attacking the basket in transition. Brandon continues to look every bit like a premier playmaker and shot creator with the ball in his hands, and with that production came his first Division I offer. As he continues to play this summer, more programs should join the mix as they look for lead guards who can both create and score.

Brendan, another lead guard whose recruitment has been relatively quiet as of late, saw that change over the weekend thanks to multiple efficient and effective performances, while also showing one of the stronger basketball IQs I've seen so far this spring. He operates with a level of comfort and understanding that shows up in the pace he plays with, allowing him to run the offense primarily with the ball in his hands and deliver a balanced floor game — creating for others as a passer while also adding value as a creative scorer. He reads primary defenders well, whether it's gaining a step or getting them off balance to create space or force rotations. His ability to score in the mid-range and around the rim may be his biggest growing asset at the moment, as he looks increasingly comfortable operating in those areas. At the same time, he continues to provide a perimeter shooting threat that keeps defenders honest and guessing — the marks of a point guard who can impact games quickly.
