The final day of 3SSB action still provided a lot of intense action as college coaches were getting their final in person evaluations of prospects before the live period concluded. In this article I'll break down my Ohio and Kentucky standouts from Sunday's 3SSB action.

[program_tooltip program_id='2076317' first='Midwest' last='Basketball Club 3SSB'] 17 U had a nice weekend going 3-1 and despite falling on Sunday, I thought it was Mirgon's most complete performance of the weekend. A lead guard who takes care of the basketball, sets the table for the offense and makes shots off the catch, Mirgon did all those things in a competitive back and forth contest with Dream Vision. Mirgon also had a post up bucket where he used his physicality and also had some strong box outs. This is the first time Mirgon is playing grassroots against players his own age and he's finally seeing the benefits of being one of the stronger guards at his age level. Expect mid major programs to make Mirgon a priority this summer.

Indiana Elite struggled this weekend but Mack-Russell had some bright moments as a scorer. When Mack-Russell is knocking down shots off the catch it helps open up the rest of his offensive game and that's what happened on Sunday as he hit some early jumpers and then got going downhill to the rim. Mostly playing as a below the rim finisher, Mack-Russell had a couple and-1 finishes in transition this weekend. After a solid opening session out in California, Indiana Elite 17 U will look to bounce back in July and help their players earn some new offers and interest.

A flat out winner, Tyson knocked down the game-winning shot for Phenom United with two seconds left to break a 66-66 tie with Breakaway Basketball. Tyson is one of the top competitors in high school basketball and when it was game time, he stepped up for his team. Throughout the game Tyson made a big defensive impact and also is responsible for a bunch of the play-making in the halfcourt for a Phenom United squad filled with talented wings. Tyson's play also allowed [player_tooltip player_id='2288381' first='Landon' last='Evans'] to become maybe the biggest 2027 stock riser in the midwest from this weekend.

Curry had a nice offensive game in the win over Breakaway, knocking down a couple shots off movement and scoring in transition. That type of impact is exactly what Curry can bring from day one at the college level as he's an athletic wing guard who can make shots off the catch and have a two-way impact. Curry holds a handful of mid major offers and his most recent visit was to local high major program Xavier. Expect Division I schools to make watching Curry a priority during the June live periods with Lakota West.

A dominant force on the interior, Grivna was one of the few 15 U players to draw a crowd of college coaches for each game he played this weekend. Incredibly skilled for his size and age, Grivna had multiple buckets where he caught the ball on the block before hitting a hook shot over his left shoulder. Also able to knock down the trail 3-pointer, Grivna can flash perimeter shooting ability when he catches himself on the perimeter. The best play of the weekend came when Grivna got a steal around halfcourt, made a sweet dribble move past a guard and then euro-stepped into a dunk right past another guard. Players of his size do not move like that with the ball in his hands at this age as Grivna projects as a top national prospect and is arguably the best big in the 2029 class nationally.

The final day of 3SSB action still provided a lot of intense action as college coaches were getting their final in person evaluations of prospects before the live period concluded. In this article I'll break down my Ohio and Kentucky standouts from Sunday's 3SSB action.
