Yazdan Lights Out to Start Morning in [program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind 15U Victory

First game of the day at 8 AM we saw [program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind 15U top [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold 49-45. Glenbrook North 5'7” point guard Aidan Yazdan was lethal with his perimeter shot making pouring in six of them from beyond the arc for 27 points. He has deep range pulling up or off the catch. Mixed in a few floaters as well in the win. Stevenson 6'1” guard Robert Nowak had a nice showing this past weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U']. Tough kid that can attack off dribble and fake DHO's for reverse layups. Went for 10 points.

Three forwards to track on [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] 16U. As we have mentioned all spring Glenbard East forward [player_tooltip player_id='2835803' first='Carter' last='Pohlman'] can fill it up. In this game he did it more on cuts and straight line takes than his usual perimeter shooting. Glenbard West 6'4” forward [player_tooltip player_id='3517495' first='Roman' last='Coe'] is a tough rebounder that has some slashing ability. [player_tooltip player_id='3581127' first='Liam' last='Wolbeck'] brings size as a rangy 6'3” lefty who can make shots off the catch.

First Look at 2030 Bloomington Wing While Peoria 2028 Guard Drops 38 Pts

Royalty Hoops 16U put on a show as they topped Rockford Elite in a fun 72-68 contest. Their 2028 guard Damarion Taylor was electric as the guard scored an insane 38 points in the win. Central Illinois lead guard was in attack mode all game long on straight line takes with his quickness off the bounce. Finishes great with his body control at the cup. Lived at the rim. More than just a driver as he made seven triples in the victory. Going to make a big debut in the next rankings! Also got our first evaluation of 2030 Bloomington 6'4” shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2886530' first='Brysen' last='Morris']. We have heard quite a bit of buzz about him as one of the top prospects in the incoming freshman class. He has legit size, handles, and can really create his own shot. Started off with a three then it was scores on slick drives and he got to the line quite a bit. Quality passer with a good basketball IQ as he had 13 points.

Hononegah point guard [player_tooltip player_id='3587106' first='Sam' last='Briggs'] continued to impress as the lead guard had 28 points in the loss for Rockford Elite. Jet quick point guard out of Hononegah who for the second consecutive day posted big numbers. Pushes downhill with his speed and shake off the bounce. Very good pull up jump shooter and has some passing flair at the lead guard spot. Christian Life shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='3603241' first='Judah' last='Rodriguez'] put his name on our radar as well with his sharp shooting from the perimeter and overall skill level as he had 10 points. [player_tooltip player_id='3600752' first='Landon' last='Smith'] of Byron is a 6'2” wing that scores on cuts and slips off the ball along with rebounding well notching 12 points.

Y&R 15U Has Nice Group of Emerging 2029 Prospects

First look at Y&R 15U and we came away intrigued with quite a few of their players as they beat [program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation'] 86-56. Wheaton Academy 2029 point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2369858' first='Jonny' last='Udoiwod'] is primed to make a massive debut in our first ranking of their class. The 6'0” guard was lethal with his shot making pouring in five triples. Rangy frame that should allow him to continue to grow. Slick ball handler that can win off the bounce and convert with nice body control at the cup. Makes quick passes off live dribbles on the move. Dropped 21 points in the win. Fenwick 6'1” strong bodied guard Corey Griffen is a combo that uses his physicality combined with high skill level to get things done. Finished in the paint off the dribble and on dump off passes. Also shot it well in the mid-range along with a pair of threes. Oswego shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='3252526' first='Jayden' last='Alford'] is a lefty two guard that has a sweet looking shot and is a monster in transition playing off his defense. [player_tooltip player_id='2393299' first='Duain' last='Johnson'] of Yorkville put his name on the map for me as a 2030 post who is physically developed. Was a force on the glass being tenacious rebounding on both ends.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075957' first='The' last='Work Foundation'] was without several key players we saw on Saturday. Leonard Thomas Jr. was their standout as the Tinley Park lead guard was slick with his handles and got to his spots scoring most of his points at the line or with his feathery jumper.

IBG Elite Pulls Away from [program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'] McMath

Caught the first half of this game as IBG Elite beat [program_tooltip program_id='2078376' first='Illinois' last='Attack'] McMath 16U 81-49. Springfield Lanphier 6'2” shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2991012' first='Jailan' last='Bunch'] jumped off the floor to us as a long and lanky shooting guard that was smooth taking it to the rack with aggressiveness. Also poured in a trio from deep in the first half including looking comfortable off the catch from the corners. Also liked him as a connective passer and solid defender. [player_tooltip player_id='2791296' first='Tyree' last='Sullivan'] out of Springfield High goes 6'0” with a physical build. Was at his best getting downhill.

Plainfield North 2028 point guard Braden Stahl put on a SHOW! The Plainfield North 5'8” guard had 14 points in the first half as the smaller lead guard has juice with the rock getting to the cup with shifty handles and burst. Crisp shot maker from the baseline and from three.

[program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold 16U Tops [program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind Behind Perimeter Shooting

Every player seemingly in the [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] program at the 3SSB and Gold level can really shoot the ball. That was what pushed their Gold team to a 76-54 victory against [program_tooltip program_id='2075481' first='Fundamental' last='U'] Grind. Stevenson 6'1” shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2403357' first='Andrey' last='Markov'] is a plus plus shooter that was absolutely lethal with his long ball draining four of them in the first half finishing with 18 points. York 6'5” forward Will Greetis brings a versatile skill set to the table with his passing, running the floor, and finishing in the paint as he dropped 11 points. Intrigued with Lane Tech guard Jackson Kastner as the 6'1” guard let it fly from three banging in four from beyond the arc for 12 points.

Lake Forest 2028 forward Camden Scroggins capped off a strong weekend with 22 points in this game. Skilled and lengthy small forward who showcased he is more than just a shooter as he was effective putting it on the deck and attacking close outs. Posted up showcasing versatility. Rochelle Township 5'8” point guard Cohen Haedt is small, but can really go! He got in the lane for soft touch finishes on the regular along with showing he can knock down an open shot as he had 18 points.

Stevenson Big Fella Emerges in 2027

[program_tooltip program_id='2828653' first='Greater' last='Purpose Athletics'] 6'7” five man [player_tooltip player_id='2403274' first='Timothy' last='Sirotyuk'] is a center that jumped off the floor to us with his size, broad shoulders, and physicality. Sealed down low keeping the ball high on his finishes which was impressive. Rebounded well in his area. Definitely worth monitoring!

[program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold 17U Impresses in Balanced Win vs 937 Hoop Dreams

Next up was [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold 17U recording a 68-59 victory against 937 Hoop Dreams out of Ohio. Lockport 2027 shooting guard [player_tooltip player_id='2125668' first='Nedas' last='Venckus'] was stellar in this one! The skilled and athletic guard poured in an array of threes, got to the rack, and cut off the ball. Excellent passer and plays within the system doing his damage which in this game was 21 points. In the second half Oak Forest 6'5” power forward [player_tooltip player_id='3575083' first='Enoch' last='Olukolade'] displayed his elite athleticism on a lob off a pick/roll, another two handed slam, and swatted several shots.

[program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'] Front Court Goes to Work to Close Event

Last game we saw was [program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'] 17U Daniels win over [program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite'] 81-67. Their big man duo of York's [player_tooltip player_id='2829810' first='Miles' last='Burnison'] and Stagg's [player_tooltip player_id='2467723' first='Mohammad' last='Farhan'] were dominant! Burnison has grown and gotten stronger since we last saw him. Finished out of the dunker spot, got on the offensive glass, and had some quick baseline takes. Farhan brings a strong base with broad shoulders and excellent skill. Rim runs, lob finishes, passed it from the high-post, and rebounded very well in his area. Earlier in the day they got a strong outing from Sandburg 6'1” guard [player_tooltip player_id='2830240' first='Daniel' last='Morakinyo'] who scored 23 points in a win against Sixers Elite including five threes.
