Prep Hoops Live: Scotty B’s 2027 Illinois Needle Movers

Now it is time to examine what we saw and the prospects that made the biggest impression.&nbsp; Here is <strong>Prep Hoops Live: Scotty B's 2027 Illinois Needle Movers</strong>!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125668' first='Nedas' last='Venckus'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Lockport 6'3” shooting guard put together a massive weekend in the three games we caught of his.&nbsp; What impresses about him and his twin brother is how consistent they are game in and game out.&nbsp; You know what you are getting, but he took it up another notch over the weekend.&nbsp; Was lethal with his three point shooting off the catch along with pulling up.&nbsp; Quick and concise release with deep range.&nbsp; Within their system he works so well cutting to the basket for dunks along with throwing the passes.&nbsp; Can play on or off the ball because of how well he dishes the rock.&nbsp; Good athlete that wins on straight line takes with his handles and bursts getting in the paint for scores.&nbsp; Solid defender that will cut a passing lane for a slam on the other end and block a shot recovering.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125671' first='Nojus' last='Venckus'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Nojus also had a very nice weekend.&nbsp; The 6'3” guard consistently was finishing at the rim on cuts off the ball for dunks.&nbsp; He has mastered that craft of his game.&nbsp; Can also deck it and score in transition.&nbsp; Plus shooter from the perimeter with a lightning quick release pouring in threes.&nbsp; Secondary playmaker that understands where his teammates are within the system.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2389793' first='Dovydas' last='Zuperka'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The two games we saw Zuperka play were the breakout performances we have been waiting to see from the 6'8” power forward!&nbsp; He came out impacting on both ends of the floor and scored inside/out.&nbsp; His quickness to the glass was the first aspect that caught our attention.&nbsp; There was an assertiveness to it high pointing them in traffic.&nbsp; The wiry thin big man with long arms snatched them above opponents.&nbsp; Offensively he showcased skill around the hoop with hook shots, touch, and explosion on a few dunks including one where he got hurt and was held out the rest of the weekend after landing wrong.&nbsp; Plus shooter as a big man that poured them in one after another from beyond the arc off the catch and in pick/pop situations.&nbsp; Ran the floor hard in transition for buckets.&nbsp; Defensively he protected the rim at a high level covering ground with his length.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125588' first='Bennett' last='Kammes'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Glenbard West 2027 6'2” combo guard is about to make a massive debut in our next update.&nbsp; Strong and skilled guard that is a lights out perimeter shot maker.&nbsp; In the top handful of perimeter marksmen in the class.&nbsp; Does it off movement shooting along with pulling up.&nbsp; Every time it comes off his hands you swear it is going in the hoop.&nbsp; Elite release and form.&nbsp; Has the ability to play both on and off the ball.&nbsp; Quality passer and feel in the half court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3575083' first='Enoch' last='Olukolade'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oak Forest 6'5” power forward is a strong and physical post that has ELITE athleticism.&nbsp; Skill is still a work in progress, but as an undersized uber athletic five he is intriguing.&nbsp; Rebounds well snatching them in traffic.&nbsp; On the offensive end he is best as a roller for lob dunks or finishing with explosive two handed slams out of the dunker spot.&nbsp; Gritty glue guy who has a solid skill level knocking in open threes, making sound passes, and can attack a close out.&nbsp; Gets after it defensively with his ball pressure.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3572122' first='Sawyer' last='Asgedom'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] Gold)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>York 2027 guard is a lefty spot up shooter that made four of them on Friday night and continued to showcase solid shooting throughout the event.&nbsp; The southpaw can really knock down shots at a high level.&nbsp; Connective passer and capable defender at the point.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532341' first='Keyae' last='Lacy'] (Geek Squad)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lacy was outstanding on Friday night as the Simeon combo guard absolutely took over the game!&nbsp; Rangy guard with length and positional size playing on or off the ball.&nbsp; Early on he was getting to the rack at will with his smooth handles and burst to the rim.&nbsp; Mid-range pull up game was on point along with being able to shoot it from three.&nbsp; Came out aggressive and stayed that way all game putting his team on his back scoring 30+ leading his team to a 1 point victory.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2632058' first='Karon' last='Shavers'] (Geek Squad)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Leo guard is rock solid with his strong frame as a backcourt player that can knock in shots from two and three.&nbsp; Strong and athletic wing that is impactful crashing the glass grabbing offensive rebounds for second chance points with his quickness and second jump.&nbsp; Flashes as a straight line driver and shot blocker.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2856365' first='Quinn' last='Gorges'] (Man Up Fox Valley)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Jacobs big man has slimmed down tremendously since we last saw him in person.&nbsp; It has improved his mobility and the skill remains there.&nbsp; Shot it well from three, smooth turnarounds, and was money in the mid-range with his shot.&nbsp; Also blocked several shots in the game we saw including a jumper.&nbsp; Like him a lot as a developmental small college big man!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2382372' first='Ace' last='Spinner'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Spinner is one of the more underappreciated small college gems out of Central Illinois.&nbsp; Thick bodied two guard that can flat out knock down shots especially from the corners.&nbsp; Quick release and is a sneaky athlete.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2382373' first='Danterion' last='Knight'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2836391' first='Illinois' last='Warriors Elite'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Knight put his second consecutive strong weekend together.&nbsp; MacArthur point guard is slick with the ball in his hands getting to the rim.&nbsp; Speed is the name of his game and he does it effectively finishing with body control at the cup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3631983' first='Brayden' last='Graddy'] (Royalty Elite)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Skilled wing who has feathery touch on his pull up jump shot from two nd three.&nbsp; One of his more impressive plays was when he stuffed a jumper, handled it coast to coast, then finished at the rim.&nbsp; Can deck it in the half court off the dribble scoring with nimble footwork.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2403274' first='Timothy' last='Sirotyuk'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2828653' first='Greater' last='Purpose Athletics'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Could not have been more impressed with this breakout Stevenson 6'7” center in the 2027 class.&nbsp; We caught the second half of one of his Sunday games and he completely took over with his size, strength, and broad shoulders.&nbsp; Rebounded tremendously well on both ends.&nbsp; Ran the floor for his size.&nbsp; He keeps the ball high in the paint and seals off defenders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2467723' first='Mohammad' last='Farhan'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Farhan is a broad shouldered and skilled four man that is consistently productive.&nbsp; The Stagg post is a good athlete that plays above the rim with lob dunks, snatching rebounds, and rim runs.&nbsp; He is a solid defender along with being a skilled passer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2829810' first='Miles' last='Burnison'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>York post had quite a game on Sunday as he has added strength to his frame which allows him to play with more physicality around the hoop.&nbsp; Quick takes on the baseline and finished out of the dunker spot.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2830240' first='Daniel' last='Morakinyo'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075386' first='Chicago' last='Lockdown'])</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Morakinyo is a well-built combo guard from Sandburg who is a good athlete that can go and get you a bucket.&nbsp;
