It didn't take Trent long to get going on Friday night for [program_tooltip program_id='2859102' first='Hoop' last='Habits Elite']. After just a few minutes of play, Trent already racked up three strong finishes inside, including an and-one through some hard contact. Trent ended up taking a hard fall and had to come out of the game for a while, but showed a lot of toughness to check back in and finish things off. Gritty and physical 6'3 forward who fights on the glass and has the toughness to defend against bigger forwards in the paint.

Elijah offers a lot of versatility at 6'7. This past weekend he spent some time playing a point-forward role, other minutes on the block, and was also capable of popping out to the wing to make plays off the dribble. Elijah was able to beat opposing bigs off the dribble to get to the rim, where he was a threat to finish or kick it out to an open shooter. Moves comfortably on the ball at a young stage. Defensively he was one of the top rim protectors I saw over the weekend, showing good timing and positioning to step in and make a play at the rim.

Jenovic is an athletic forward who plays much bigger than his listed 6'4 height. He was one of the best rebounders I saw all weekend, showing an impressive vertical to sky up in a high crowd to secure the ball. High energy player who would fight to get over screens or to prevent post entry passes, but could also step out to the perimeter and move his feet with smaller players. Nothing flashy about his offensive game, but he produces by running the floor for good looks in transition or securing offensive rebounds and going right back up for two points.

Owen is an "old school" big man who has taken a nice step forward since last summer. He flashed some impressive footwork over the weekend, able to spin into a finish at the rim, or hit a bit of a "dream shake" to get into his hook shot. That hook shot has a high release point that makes it nearly impossible to get a good contest on at the high school level. When he got out in transition or stepped in from the dunker spot, Owen showed he can get off the floor quickly to throw down two handed dunks. Defensively he blocked multiple shots in both games I watched, and did a nice job of walling up when contesting to avoid getting in foul trouble.

Zac is still a work in progress in the paint, but had a really productive outing against [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat'] on Sunday. The 6'7 lefty is a true back-to-basket big man who excelled at catching on the block and going to work in isolation. Zac showcased soft touch on his baby-hook, able to simply turn over his right shoulder and finish over the top of opposing bigs. He showed good hands to catch in traffic, and rarely missed if a double team wasn't immediately sent.

John is a walking double-double for [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']-Morgan. The 6'5 forward has broad shoulders, a long wingspan, and a high motor that helps him dominate on the glass. John was cleaning up missed shots on the defensive end to shut possessions down, while fighting for a handful of second chance scoring opportunities on the offensive glass. John keeps the ball high after an offensive rebound, and has a quick second leap to go right back up for two points. He understands who he is as a player, and sticks to high percentage looks around the rim rather than trying to make plays out on the perimeter.
