[player_tooltip player_id='2140500' first='Isaiah' last='Mccree'] 5-11 Detroit Catholic Central In a one o'clock game that featured probably 95% of the roster for next year. McCree played outstanding against his teammates. If you like point guards that play above the rim this is your prospect. Elevates with easy and fluid elevation. Doesn't even look like he is trying. No need to gather or time up his steps. Just takes off and explodes. Much more than just an athlete though. If this was a superlative column he would also be in the conversation for best shooter I saw. Much like the elevation. Just a smooth effortless release with little to no wind up, and most importantly… it goes in often. Always been a fan of the Shamrocks wings as they continue to wrack up D1 offers. McCree has shown this week he belongs in the conversation with his running mates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2446083' first='Kordell' last='Robinson'] 6-4 River Rouge I can't talk about McCree and not mention the performance of the River Rogue guard with 1 of 1 Detroit. I saw the Panthers in the regular season. After Saturday only one of three things could be true. He was either hurt and not eligible yet after a transfer. Or he has rapidly improved and grown physically or… I'm just an idiot. Because I do not remember an athletic and lanky 6-4 option in the backcourt. For obvious reasons I would bank on the middle option and not the latter. Robinson still has the game and handle of heads up pass first point guard. Just has it on true wing sized package. Attacked the rim without fear and was a factor on the defensive end as well. The historic Rogue program has went through a fair amount of rapid change in the last few years. With talent like Robinson and others returning. They should be ready to move back into state championship contention.

[player_tooltip player_id='2422855' first='Michael' last='Armour'] 6-8 Grand Rapids Forest Hills Northern Armour has long been on the radar in West Michigan due to his early size and the high profile programs he has played with. Now entering his senior year. He hasn't gotten much bigger vertically. However he has a frame and game that has filled out nicely. Is still a post all the way, and despite what the trends might say. That is not a bad thing. Fundamentally sound and plays his role. Strays from the paint when necessary but knows how to work on the block. Now rises to the rim to dunk without a power dribble. Is a good mid range shooter despite a slight hitch in his release. Compete hard defensively and isn't going to get pushed around on the block. Put up 12 points in close loss to a talented and large Blue Water Hurricanes squad.

[player_tooltip player_id='3629877' first='Mahlik' last='Boggs'] 6-7 Saginaw United For the evening I shited to a different gym with a much different atmosphere. In the highly charged and electric content creator bracket (I think I described that correctly) The Saginaw post was able to show the expansion to his game. After watching him in Fort Wayne and at an Adidas event in Indiana. I wondered if he was capable and taking his game outside and be more assertive offensively. With his RWE squad featuring plenty of size. Boggs was able to step out on the perimeter a bit. Showed a nice high release from the perimeter. Also showed rudimentary ball handling ability. The potential is pretty high with his advanced physical frame. If he can continue to improve. This could be the first Division prospect from the new Saginaw United program.

[player_tooltip player_id='3649429' first='Codey' last='Bush'] 6-3 Romulus Summit Academy North I'm debating just doing that thing that people do on the former bird app. Where they just post the person's name… and say that's it, that's all. With his performance last weekend in Chicago and an absolute show on Saturday night. Bush is approaching the get out the thesaurus for adjectives category. I dont normally write about a player two straight weekends. I also normally see soon to be sophomore be the best player on the court in a game loaded with college players (some already graduated) Bush has such good court awareness and is a legitimate 6-3 playmaking point guard already. Is a good shooter that further opens penetration. If you want to quibble, could maybe a be a more explosive finisher at the rim. That being said, in the shadow of Ford headquarters. That is kind of like looking for rust on a Mustang. A special player in Michigan's uber deep 2029 class.
