The CBG Spring Series continues to be a proving ground for some of the top talent across the region, and this past weekend's 17U division was no different. With a mix of high-level guard play, emerging prospects, and under-the-radar names making noise, several players stepped up and showed why they should be firmly on college coaches' radars heading into the live period.

Claiborne continues to establish himself as one of the more dangerous scoring guards in the area. The Petersburg product is a true three-level threat, but what separates him is his ability to heat up quickly from beyond the arc. He knocked down shots with confidence all weekend, including a 20-point performance against Team Loaded 804 Black. Claiborne doesn't just score it; he's physical, attacks downhill, and embraces the defensive side of the ball by picking up full court and disrupting opposing guards. His stock is trending upward as the summer approaches.

Evans brings a smooth, controlled game that stands out immediately. At 6'3, he has great size for a lead guard and uses it effectively on both ends. He's shifty with the ball, changes pace well, and can knock down perimeter shots when given space. What may go unnoticed at first glance is his passing ability; he consistently makes the right reads and keeps the offense flowing. Evans poured in 17 points in a tough matchup against Higher Level and continues to prove he's a name to monitor closely this summer for Team Loaded 804 Black.

Tracy is a long, athletic big who is just beginning to tap into his potential. He impacts the game in a variety of ways without needing plays called for him. Running the floor, protecting the rim, and cleaning the glass were all strengths on display. His 6-block, 13-rebound performance in game one showcased his defensive instincts and motor. Tracy also flashed solid feel as a passer. As his offensive skill set continues to develop, expect college programs to take a harder look at his long-term upside. He's been a pivotal piece for Team Loaded 804 Black this summer.

Utah continues to look like one of the top young prospects in the area regardless of class. His versatility is what jumps out—he can handle the ball, defend multiple positions, and score when needed. With a quick first step and natural length, he consistently creates advantages. Utah finished with 14 points in a win over The Burg, making key plays down the stretch. His motor and all-around impact make him a player who influences winning in multiple ways.

Desire is a natural scorer who knows how to get to his spots. He's quick, physical, and plays with confidence when the ball is in his hands. Whether it's creating off the bounce or knocking down shots from deep, he's capable of putting points up in bunches. He also competes defensively and makes sound decisions as a playmaker. Desire's blend of scoring ability and toughness gives him legitimate next-level potential.

Playing up in the 17U division, Williams didn't look out of place. The 2028 guard brings a unique combination of athleticism and energy that impacts the game immediately. He can shoot it, but his explosiveness is what stands out most. He attacks the rim with force and finds ways to make plays in traffic. Defensively, he's relentless, applying pressure and making life difficult for opposing guards. Williams played a key role in helping Higher Level go 2-0 on the weekend and continues to build his reputation as a rising prospect.
