Our top ranked prospect from Oklahoma, Coleman has impressive movement shooting ability for a prospect his height and age. Coleman has been an early standout with Mokan Elite this spring after a strong 15 U season with Brad Beal Elite. When you look at Coleman's positional size, perimeter shooting ability and production on the EYBL circuit, it seems like he'll find himself in other national rankings sooner rather than later.

A 2028 prospect playing up at the 17 U level with PSA Cardinals on the EYBL circuit, I caught Valera Melo in April at EYBL Session I down in Atlanta. A wing prospect who thrives in transition, the faster the tempo the better for Valera Melo. I first caught Valera Melo for New Heights at the 15 U level where his athleticism and length stood out among prospects from his grade. Making the move to Phelps School last year, Valera Melo was able to play with the ball in his hands and shine offensively with some big scoring games this winter. Expect regional mid to high major programs to get involved with Valera Melo's recruitment this summer.

One of the most productive scoring guards on the EYBL Circuit, Gunter is a pure bucket for Team United. Add in Gunter's impressive playmaking for teammates and he's all around one of the most talented offensive players in the 2028 class. Gunter finished EYBL Session I fourth in scoring and first in assists at the 16 U level. He put up those types of numbers for a Team United squad that went 4-0, combining elite production with winning basketball. Oklahoma State is the latest high major program to offer Gunter and they've done a nice job being early on high school prospects who blow up with dozens of high major offers later in their recruiting cycle. With Gunter's offensive talent, he could be the next one.

Michigan's 2028 class could be the best to come out of the state in a handful of years and Muhammad is a notable prospect who recently picked up an offer from Nebraska. Muhammad checks a lot of boxes from the wing position with his strong frame, two-way impact, ability to play above the rim and pass the basketball. Wings that have no glaring weaknesses are incredibly valuable because they cannot be played off the court. Look for Muhammad to add to his offer list and find himself on other national rankings sites sooner rather than later.

Illinois is known for producing talented guards and Smith-Holley is the top lead guard in 2028 from Illinois. The Mac Irvin Fire 16 U lead guard had a monster showing on the Prep Hoops circuit a few weekends ago with his explosive athleticism and quick burst allowing him to thrive in transition and as a driver. Smith-Holley was one of the most productive points guards at the 15 U level last summer on the EYBL and picked up an offer from Illinois last Fall. Found on the consensus rankings, Smith-Holley is very close to finding his name on other national rankings top 100 lists.
