On Saturday April 12th I attended the Nothing but Net Spring Showcase at Sunnyslope HS hosted by Dinos Trigonis. It was a unique event with club and prep teams playing each other making it a rare live period for college coaches to come view the talent.

I spent all day watching the teams on the main court plus one half in the auxiliary gym. These are not prospect rankings. Just how did they do for the 1-2 games I viewed them.

8 Non-AZ Players Viewed

[player_tooltip player_id='2868676' first='Juleeyan' last='Williams'] Corona Centennial/CA (Compton Magic 16) (Pictured)

A bigger combo guard who can get to his spots with his next level handle, size and athleticism. He can make some plays but he is a natural scorer. He will score with fall aways from mid-range, tough tear drops, blow by takes in the lane and high level dunks in traffic. He will block shots, rebound and defend. His mid-range pull is nearly impossible to stop.

Yann Kamagate C 7'1 2028 St. Francis/CA

Yann is an elite shot blocker and rebounder in and out of his area. He has great hands to catch tough passes and will then explode up to dunk the ball. He outlets the ball well and he literally had some of the most powerful dunks you will ever see. He can seal his defender and catch it with soft hands and score it quickly. He tries dunking everything but has a nice touch around the basket and can shoot it from mid to the occasional three.

[player_tooltip player_id='2746607' first='Josh' last='Lowery'] Sierra Canyon/CA (Compton Magic 17)

A bigger combo guard was playing up and he directs the 17U team. He scores it with fall aways from mid-range off the dribble being contested, tough physical drives, threes off the catch or pull and he is a very good passer. He is a fierce on-ball defender as he collects a bunch of steals which typically leads to dunks and you see why he is ranked #2 in 2028 from Cali.

[player_tooltip player_id='2815195' first='Isaac' last='Hagens'] Long Beach Poly/CA (Belmont Shore 17)

A wing forward with great size, skill and some vertical pop. He will score it from all three levels with rip thrus, threes off the catch, fall aways from mid-range and he is a top-end rebounder in his area. He has improved in the last year.

Herjok Jongroor PF 6'8 2028 Set the Pace Academy/CT

A tall, long and lean face-up power forward who gets hot in a hurry. He has a pretty looking stroke from the three point line and will rattle them off. He will fall away from his defender, use the floater game and he takes very long strides to the basket.

Zain Majeed PF 6'7 2027 Mater Dei/AZ (Arizona Unity 17 EYBL)

A physical power forward with a college frame. He brings a no-nonsense approach to the floor and loves to face-up from mid to the three point line. He rebounds the ball well with his strength and size and typically out works his opponents.

Herman Carl Kone C 6'8 2029 St. Francis/CA (Compton Magic 15)

A very tall freshmen with incredible fluidity is just scratching the surface. His skill is a little behind but he plays with a plus motor and will score it with tip-ins, easy dunks and grab out of area rebounds and score with offensive rebound put backs. He moves well in space to defend and out on the perimeter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2948298' first='Isaiah' last='Williamson'] Los Alamitos/CA (Compton Magic 16)

A versatile all-around wing forward brings his lunch pail to every game with natural toughness. The southpaw loves getting downhill and scoring thru the contact and will pull-up from mid to the three. His floater game is super polished and he seems to defend nearly every position on the court.
