The southpaw sniper was a perfect 4/4 from long distance and finished with 19 PTS in the contest. He had no problem getting his shot off while being chased by his defender or even with a hand in his face. Those things paired with his speed and skillset make for a very intriguing prospect. His range from distance stood out in WV Gold's first matchup at Made Hoops' Midwest Mania. He splashed a deep corner ball that first had to be caught at his feet and somehow did so all in one motion. He was also able to showcase how quick his trigger can be when given a pass in the pocket. He came alive in the second half and made his presence felt powered by a high motor. Luca knocked down a deep 3PT attempt to start his team's run and didn't look back from there. He went on to knock down another about midway through the half. With more confidence than anyone on the court, Luca's third long distance connection came in crunch time and tied the ball game with only 90 seconds left in regulation. He used his smooth catch-and-shoot mechanics to make his mark, but he wasn't afraid to pull up off the dribble either. Regardless, his shooting abilities at his size makes for a head turning prospect. He connected on all three of his attempts from long distance in the first half alone. It's possible that he would've contributed even more from long distance had he taken advantage of more shot attempts.
