The Comets Shootout had a load of prospects competing and six different players earned offers. We run through some other players that caught our attention today!

[player_tooltip player_id='2392217' first='David' last='Addai'] of Hoop Habits 16s (St. Paul Johnson). One of the pleasant surprises of the weekend was certainly David, the 6'6 or 6'7 agile forward. David has a good frame, good bounce and some explosion to him, the next step has just been consistency and we saw more of that this weekend. David has a chance to be a scholarship prospect if he keeps becoming more consistent because the physical stuff is there.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126126' first='Ray' last='Brau'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] (Hibbing). I was impressed with Ray in St. Cloud. There is something to be said for a guy that has good size and uses that strength/height to constantly be in good rebounding and scoring positions. Double double in both games I saw including the 14 and 11 in the semi-finals, and when he is finishing a high percentage he is often the best player on the floor in games. A steady D2 prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126455' first='Peyton' last='Gholson'] of Hoop Habits (Rosemount). On both, off the ball, whichever role he is in, Gholson was producing consistent results. All three Hoop Habit games I saw, Gholson gave his team consistency: perimeter jumper was there, his pull-up getting middle from the arc always looked good, and I really liked the space he covers quickly off a move with each dribble. This is a player that understands space.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140700' first='Tyrece' last='Hagler'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] (Richfield). A natural shooter that can naturally shoot his way out of a jam, or into a comfortable lead. He fits right at home with the uptempo Select running style getting to the wing and letting it fling. A good passer to those rim cutters and a player that you have to locate and get a hand in the face all times.

[player_tooltip player_id='2393884' first='Dexter' last='Simmons'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 15s (Stewartville). Right now I'm just begging to find some young D1 prospects to tell people about and when I saw Dexter, at like 6'8, hitting some jumpers, bouncing to the boards, finishing explosively, and finishing some post moves, I added to my list. There is a lot of potential to Dexter with his touch and his agility and his size that a lot of others don't have. Has a chance to be one of the better players in Class AAA hoops going forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417301' first='Hunter' last='Vinkemeier'] of [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] (Le Sueur-Henderson). Hunter has a chance to play division one basketball some day. Why? He is face up skilled at 6'10 and he gets up and down quite well. A player with agility but also a player that is going to be able to add strength and stay agile, we saw him get a double-double this weekend and it's scary to think what he can be around the basket when he gets even stronger. Again, Hunter averaged 30 points and 20 rebounds this year and he did it with good shooting percentages. If I am a local D1 I am calling soon to see him play.
