I'm a fan of the two-way impact Mhoon provides from the wing guard position as he's able to finish above the rim, make shots on the perimeter and play tough on-ball defense. Mhoon can stuff the stat sheet with impact as a shot blocker, rebounder and playmaker as well. When you factor in his athleticism, offensive production and defensive projection, he seems like a prospect who will have strong college interest from high major programs, and he already holds early offers to Cal and Rutgers. Mhoon also won the Mathematics award and sophomore athlete award from The King's Academy, showing he takes his schoolwork seriously as well. Usually safe to bet on a kid with that level of maturity to continue to work hard and mature his game as he develops.

A prospect who had a monster weekend at Flyin' to the Hoop for Dream City Christian, Cleaves Jr at times looked like the most productive player on the court for his Nike Scholastic squad. An elite 3-point shooter, Cleaves Jr also has a strong frame for a player of his age and the ball skills to create shots for himself or for teammates. Really impressed with his feel for the game and shooting ability, Cleaves Jr projects as one of the most productive high school guards next season on the west coast.

A player who played up at the 17 U level last summer, Kelly just started his second season playing 17 U for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''] and is still playing up an age group. An elite perimeter shooter, Kelly averaged 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists a game last weekend in California for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last='']. Already holding offers from Creighton, Iowa, Missouri, St Louis, Northwestern and in-state powerhouse Illinois as his first offer, Kelly is being pursued by programs that are winning by developing high school talent. Look for Kelly to continue to make a lot of noise this summer for [program_tooltip program_id='2076459' first='Breakaway' last=''].

A player who I got to see for the first time at Team USA minicamp, Nwabuoku stood out with his physicality, rim protection, ability to run the floor and offensive flashes. Drawing rave reviews from Team USA minicamp, I'll be excited to see what he's able to do for JL3 this season, he already drew praise from 247 sports from his play at the GASO Spring Championships last weekend. Holding two offers from Ivy league programs this early in the recruiting cycle also speaks to the academic student Nwabuoku is and his maturity. Expect programs from bigger name leagues to come calling soon but Ivy league schools have been able to secure commitments from a few high school prospects with bigger name school offers.

The Puma Circuit has some quality talent from Florida and Agyeman is one of their more under the radar talents who could blow up either this summer or next. A powerful athlete in the paint standing at 6'10, Agyeman helped Team Miami 17 U play on the PRO16 league this season with him as a featured piece of the team despite playing up an age group. That elevation to the top circuit will certainly put more eyes on Agyeman as his physical tools stand out among almost any big from down south in the 2028 class. While Agyeman isn't much of a household name outside of Florida and the Puma circuit just yet, that should change by the end of the summer.

Carter is another 2028 prospect playing up at the 17 U level, but he's on the Made Hoops Circuit. One of the more skilled offensive scorers for his height in the country for the 2028 class, Carter has such smooth movements on the ball as he can create his own look with ease and plays above the rim in transition. While some of the streetball isolation skill has become somewhat of a lost art in basketball, Carter has that old school flair on the ball and just naturally knows how to get a bucket. After crushing it at Philly Live last summer, I'd expect Carter's recruitment to blow up by the end of this summer if he continues to perform how he has over the past few months since returning to action in January.
