Cavil didn't have an efficient shooting day against Waukee Northwest, going 6-19 from the floor en route to his 14 points, but the junior guard was in complete control of the game alongside running mate [player_tooltip player_id='1765517' first='Tino' last='Daye Jr']. His ability to operate and find quality looks late in the shot clock was key to helping Johnston execute their game plan. He's poised under pressure and didn't get flustered by the length and athleticism that Northwest can throw at you.

Daye led the Dragons in scoring, putting up 15 points on 6-13 shooting with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals in the upset win. Like Cavil, his comfort level operating late in the shot clock was huge for the Dragons. He's so good when he gets his defender on his hip, shielding himself and powering through contact around the rim. He hit several tough, contested shots from the mid-range as well, showing good elevation on his jumper.

Wehr has had an up-and-down senior year for the Hawks, but he saved one of his best games of the season for their quarterfinal loss to Waukee, scoring 20 points on 7-13 shooting (2-5 3P, 4-4 FT). After shooting 48% from 3 last season, his percentages dipped down to about 32% this season. He looked much more along the lines of the 48% shooter against the Warriors, shooting it confidently off the catch and moving really well without the ball in his hands. He can certainly help a small school next year with his ability to shoot it and be a secondary playmaker.

Roach was fantastic in the second half in the Warriors win over Prairie, scoring 15 of his team-high 18 points in the final 16 minutes. A lightning-quick guard who handles it really well, he has fantastic vision and is able to split doubles while keeping his dribble alive. He shoots it at a high clip off both the dribble and the catch, and while he has a pretty slight frame, he's tough to slow down when he gets his defender on his hip. He had 5 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals to go with his 18 points on 7-10 shooting (2-4 3P, 2-4 FT).

A versatile two-way player who can really impact the game with his length and toughness, Craig stuffed the stat sheet to the tune of 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks in the Warriors win. He can defend one through five at this level, moving his feet well and utilizing his length to his advantage. He's a high IQ player who understands spacing, rotates well on the defensive end, and he can space the floor with his jumper.

Rice's senior year didn't end how he wanted it to, but the 6-8 wing did everything he could to lead Northwest to a comeback, falling just short. The future Nebraska wing scored 17 points on 7-14 shooting (3-5 3P) with 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and a block. He made some really difficult shots, showing his shot creation and using his footwork to create additional space to get his shot off.
