We are in the semifinal round of every Sectional in the state and one of the biggest taking place on Friday is at Plainfield High School. The first game will feature the monster clash between Plainfield and Pike followed by Ben Davis vs Brownsburg. Both these games are very interesting for multiple reasons as well as featuring some of the best talent in the central Indiana area. Prep Hoops Indiana will have boots on the ground for both of these games. Before we get to Friday, let us look at an X-Factor from each team.

The Pike Red Devils have the balance and the talent to make a deep run in the postseason, evening winning Sectional 11. They are a star-studded team led by guys such as [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'], [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley']. However one star that feels a little overlooked is junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2266897' first='Kenneth' last='Lampley'] who provides such a mismatch problem on the wing due to his athleticism and length. Pike will need everything they have to beat Plainfield on their home floor making Lampley a possible x-factor for them.

Plainfield will always be highlighted by their big three of Noah Smit, [player_tooltip player_id='2267048' first='Harper' last='Baker-Lands'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1560946' first='Landon' last='Gilliatt']. There is a 4th player on the Quakers that has been real steady for them this season, that being senior guard Try Barton. The 5'7 guard will come into Friday's matchup vs Pike averaging over 6.0 points per game. He is a floor general with quickness that can be a true playmaker in the lane whether he is scoring or facilitating.

In many ways, Ben Davis feels like the dark horse in Class 4A and a lot of that has to do with their size, athletic ability, skill, coaching, and much more. They are also an experienced group of players with one of their leaders in the front court being senior power forward [player_tooltip player_id='2046154' first='Lewis' last='Harvey']. A highly-touted small college prospect, Harvey makes such an impact in the post for the Giants due his skill and overall power on the low block. Brownsburg will have their work cut out for them vs a guy like Harvey.

Ben Davis may have a very good front court, but the front court of Brownsburg will be able to compete with them with one of their X-Factors being senior center [player_tooltip player_id='2272233' first='Chris' last='Brandon']. The near 7-ft big man has been such a force for the Bulldogs this season and will bring in over 6.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game from the regular season. Brandon runs the floor well, is agile for his size, and is very bouncy around the rim. He is an above-the-rim finisher with the ability to rebound outside of his area and protect the paint defensively, as well.
